They couldn’t afford to film in a real desert, so all the desert scenes were shot in Hengdian.

Some Mango dramas like..A Splendid Match is also available on iQiyi Inter , but this drama isn’t.

Maybe it has something to do with the production company’s distribution contract...I’m not sure. still I think it would have been much better if the drama were available on iQiyi Inter too.

I would say it’s kind of a slow-burn romance. Even when they fall in love with each other, it won’t be easy for them to express their feelings because he is the emperor and she is a scholar-official. Their love will be forbidden, at least for a while.

I also really like the OST that plays during the drunken rain scene.
That scene was so beautifully done! It starts at around the 12-minute in the video.
