on ep 2, and i'm supposed to root for them to get together after he's having her whipped and tortured like this?…
ok she whipped him back and mostly got back at him lmao. but him saying "we're even now" after biting her nuh uh my guy! if you're gonna bite her back then now she gets to waterboard you and punch you in stomach a few times!
on ep 2, and i'm supposed to root for them to get together after he's having her whipped and tortured like this? and while still injuried at that? it's understandable he wouldn't like an enemy who shot him during a battle, but it was a battle! he was trying to kill her side too! i am supposed to root for her to end up with this petty vindictive man? "enemies to lovers" just feels like an excuse for a man to do horrible things to a woman but then say its okay bc she's gonna fall in love with him later.
but, i'm still curious to see where this will go for now
if a bird has been caged it's whole life and has clipped wings "setting it free" is just a death sentence. seeing a fully adult character do something annoyingly irresponsible like that broke my immersion a little bit.
i know it's meant to be a metaphor but people aren't birds lol. it's an annoying trope & makes people think you can just "set free" birds that were kept as pets.
Honestly. You can read the sypnosis and look at their character names here. I don't know how people missed it.
Honestly even if you ignore the names, it was pretty obvious it was flashbacks. I can understand being confused during the 1st or 2nd maybe since they used the same actor for the present-day Crown Prince/ML's son, but there is some clear lack of critical thinking skills going on🥴
I got pretty bored during the last few episodes, not a lot of plot was happening anymore, just a lotttt of "domestic bliss" stuff. But overall it was pretty good and it was interesting to see a main couple that didn't have an insane wealth gap.
What I like is that from the start the ML and FL are on each other's side. They still had to build up trust (and some things are still shaking that), but it didn't waste time with them being antagonistic towards each other like so many romances. It shows you can have conflict without the leads being completely at odds.
I know a lot of people like enemies to lovers and all that, but it's nice when the goal of the leads is to help each other not kill each other lmao
Most of these were filmed right before the ban, or around the time they thought it might be temporary. But it hasn't, so many dramas have not seen the light of day and probably never will even if the ban is really lifted.
I'm episode two, and I'm just so amused when they "break character". FL snatching the gun out of panic then politely giving it back 🤣 but man this VR thing would traumatize people. Getting shot in the back is one thing but a gun right in your face? i'd cry
M loving this drama..... suggest me a drama like this?
The Demon Hunter's Romance has a similar setting (regular world with demons) I haven't finished it tho so I can't 100% recommend it, didn't really vibe with the direction it started heading but maybe you would like it more than me.
Ha! You're like the opposite of those people who have a 'closure problem', who have to finish something even if…
It's actually easier during the week because I actually look forward to watching an episode during lunch and a few after work. But on the weekends, if I'm not in the mood to binge then it's hard to watch at all. Then I get behind and my other toxic trait of reading comments and spoilering myself happens 🤦♀️ then I start feeling unmotivated to continue. Or I get distracted by other things for a while, then I end up in that limbo where I forgot too many details to be able to just jump back in, but I don't want to start over either... 😭
My toxic trait of starting a drama and abandoning it halfway through to "on hold" purgatory where i pretend i'll still finish it one day might be striking... it's not even that I dislike the drama, I just can't bring myself to click play on the episode
I will say I'm not a big fan of the current poster. It's not a bad photo but I feel like it doesn't capture the vibe of the whole story. Looks a little too nondescript I guess.
I finally started being normal about this drama but now seeing TXW in Moonlit Reunion made me not so normal again 😭 wish i didn't know about this drama's existence so I could live in peace... praying we it get it by the end of the year
there's nothing wrong with me sharing my initial thoughts
like girl all he did was not kill you and you're in love with him??
it's understandable he wouldn't like an enemy who shot him during a battle, but it was a battle! he was trying to kill her side too!
