Can’t believe I’m already at episode 34! I usually lose interest halfway through C-dramas, but this one really…
Same! Usually I lose interest around episode 25, but here I'm totally invested. I can't get enough and I don't know what I'll do in the next days if we don't get the express package today.
Good morning y'all Not really into male centered drama..... but now am so bored, no drama to watch. So I don't…
Young Zang Hai sees his family getting annihilated and is resolved to revenge them with the help of a secret ally. Once grown up, he heads to the capital to take his revenge - his enemies are all powerful political figures and he's a commoner. We see him get his way to them and to the top of the political circle while executing said revenge, trying to find the truth and the last, hidden enemy. He meets a few friends along the way and a love interest - the romance is a side story, but is also very sweet. He has no martial arts skills so he has to count on his brains only, so we get to see a lot of riddles being solved. He's not the typical revenge-master - he's young and he makes mistakes which makes him more realistic. The story is fast-paced with a lot of suspense.
Now we know. All speculation is over. The masked man is unmasked. The third man is still at large and so are some…
😆 We still don’t know if Zhao is good or is after the Gui seal. The emperor seemed sus as well, we are still to see AnTu’s sister, we don’t know what is the role of the prince, and there are still scenes from the end-credits we are missing (like AnTu crying in a room dressed in royal attire). Plus Cao’s minions, plus why the other master killed himself, why ZH’s father didn’t give the bracelet to the emperor - and we have only 6 eps left. 😭
Romance in the drama is very illogical. The FL has no reason to like the ML after everything he did to her. If…
Probably because he's good looking, tall, smart, cunning yet naive in a sort of way, fun to be with, different from the others and her first love. What I mean is that love can't be explained. But when in love, some people are ready to forgive everything.
Ah, I can't stop thinking about what happened. Now I have this new thought that the third person is..
The third enemy is AnTu's sister. Because ZZX started saying to Zang Hai that it was someone from the court, but actually it was ZH who suggested it was the queen. So (I still don't know why) ZZX decided to go with it. Maybe the sister wants to use the Gui seal just like her grandmother, but her mother was opposed. Also, she has to have something with everything because the writers introduced her in the yesterday's ep as the backstory.
Someone please explain: We have ZZX lying to Zang Hai and all ZH said was he created this monster that ZZX hates him?! Why would he hate him? Because he was left without a family? But when the marquise said the truth to ZZX he was just appointed as the heir, his mother as the rightful wife, he've won the contest... I would understand if he had lied to ZH after all the downfall of his family, but not before that.
Also, why on earth didn't ZH have a plan for the night of the lantern festival? I mean, OK, he didn't predict this foster son and all, but why did he tell the eunuch who he really was?! Usually, in the past episodes, this happened when he was sure he had a plan, but now he was so confident I was almost expecting guards or someone powerful to show up and save the day like "OK, the eunuch told all his dirty secrets, we can lock him now". But, no, we have a dead mother and the Gui seal in the wrong hands. Ugh!
I'm getting a bit frustrated, honestly, with the last episodes. In the beginning when ppl were saying that ZH wasn't planing everything I was so confident that, yes, he have, just some of the things were luck or coincidence, but now I'm also frustrated with the way this was written. I really hope in the next episodes this will be cleared up - I didn't like the "ending" of the ZZX's lie and I hope we will get more of the reason. I'm also a bit pissed off with how things went with the eunuch but I have my hopes there IS a BIG reason for that!
Ugh, I don’t know how I feel. After all the previous episodes, the last two seem a but out of place. I know they are important to the story, I know we needed some time “down” to be able to breathe after what happened in the previous 4 episodes, but I really hope they don’t spoil the story with some c-drama love tragedy. Can’t we have a happy ending for our ZH?! He deserves it, but those scenes with Antu in prison and Antu shaking her head to stop him from coming out of the crowd - it seemed doomed. And the revenge already seem far away. 😢 Just ranting, don’t mind me.
Don’t forget the third minion that he convinced the marquise to kill just by talking! 😁
I meant the bodyguard of the marquise. I just love his death. ZH just happened to convince the marquise that he’s a threat even before having gained marquise’s trust and BAM - the guy is gone just like that.
