I was hoping to see more of Duan Jiaxu (in hidden love duan jiaxu knows what song yan is up to but we don’t hence this new series) and instead we get this sabotaged version of the original story and the FL regresses in character development from almost opening up to happiness to ruining her life

My other gripe is that the sole purpose of grandma and grandpa story of haoan is so that they can be used to find yifan in Hong Kong. Seems like half the runtime wasted for a single scene.

What was a story of yifan’s path to happiness has now become some stupid watered down romance

Can someone give me a recommendation for any upcoming long drama? I don’t want to binge watch…. Just 1 ep per week will do…. Not the already existing ones…. New with something to look forward.., have never watched long form in East Asian…. Of course need subs…. Not fluent in any of these langs….

The colour.observation is spot on……. From the writer’s pov, I think they gave the Sang siblings similar people to love….. they seem to fall in love at a similar age to similar kind of people….. I want to see the four of them at lunar new year at their parents’….

I’ve only watched hidden love and know sang yan as victor ma. I started watching first frost for around 2 mins when I realised this was the 2nd part that was underway a few months back….. came straight here and see a mixed reaction to everything….. HL had a 9 rating at least with 4 eps out… I think people give too much importance to familiarity…..

Now you’ve gone and ruined the joy of watching something without having to think about real life…. I believe people do understand the difference between real and reel…. If you wanted every drama to be as real as life there would hardly be a romance genre

I can see you feel strongly about this series maybe just drop it and don’t watch something that upsets you so much…. If you are watching just to pick faulty plot points and issues with the story then I would like to suggest opening a separate discussion for that….
