I hated the Qi Min character. It dumbfounds me that people actually 'shipped this sick psychopathic, sadistic…
I can’t say if it’s a chicken-egg story between fans shipping Qi Min and him being portrayed as the good guy if he wasn’t subjected to fire/drowning in the last episode. At first I thought he was going to be the good guy when I wasn’t reading the subtitles….. he is the best example of a complex villain who has redeemable qualities….. I liked the character and acting. But wouldn’t go as far as shipping him, maybe others feel differently.
My opinion: ZLH has better acting skills than TXW, evidenced in his facial expressions. He seems to be the character.…
Well TXW had more screen time and you would find more faults in number just for that…… I think that’s to be expected. Very few people can become the character they portray
I guess the shared universe means same cities of Nanwu and Yihe….. I don’t find much else that relates…. It’s not like there’s much interconnection in stories…. Even TFF and HL have very little in common….
Finished and feel empty. I don’t like that the confrontation with the grandfather was too polite. I would have liked more fireworks. How is it that the aunt uncle pair get away with everything they did (including the psychological manipulation of both brothers and the parents)? From the description I thought some of it would happen after college. The whole thing was about teenage angst…. Wanted more mature plot. Not that I don’t like it. It just felt like a spinoff version of when a river runs through it.
In the novel there was a malicious character who was the catalyst for the split between tengda and sima…. Then the last part was where mr Pei comes back anonymously and punishes this character who is supposedly going to usurp the company…. The end was like everyone worshipping mr Pei for his farsightedness even if he is not there…. In the series he just hugs mr Ma and everyone is friendly….. I like that better
Okay, just finished ep26….. Was expecting the novel ending..,.. liked this one way better…. Not my usual genre but enjoyed it completely…… Feels like I would have done things similar to Mr Pei…. But have no clue how businesses work… they may be showing how businesses don’t work…. The fire sky company is more realistically portrayed…
tried watching this a couple of times, but never made it to the end. the last time I watched it, I dropped this…
I recommend watching those scenes in 2x or faster coz every scene kind of plays into the story…. Another option is to skip scenes that don’t have the 3 main leads… it feels draggy in those…. I guess they had to stretch it to 40 eps and that’s the way they found….
Just started…. I have to say ml’s decisions all are just like I would have made in his place…. The vacation, the bug etc…. I don’t think I have the mental fortitude of not revealing the secrets though……
Ok, so I need to understand that ending. Whoever saw it hit me back. I think I understand but not sure.
As far as I understand, this time travel stuff is supposed to work like this: you can’t have 2 versions of yourself at the same time. So at the end she disappears because she was born. Then when she recognises qm, he thinks it’s better to die so that his younger self can take his place. It’s actually a good ending if you ask me…
I liked the show very much…. That said I would have liked a little bit of at least loop hole filled logic for the ending…. There was no need for the time travel at the end…. Angst worked well but so would a bit of comedy. I always try to accept stories as they are told/shown…. But sometimes I like the fanfiction better….. there were so many people on this comment section hoping for more time in the real world. I got carried away with then and somehow liked their version of the story better… Note to self: watch completely before diving into the comments or don’t put much weightage on then
