I don’t know the story….. but I read the translated epilogue…. Was really fun…. That’s what I like about Chinese novels: a long epilogue (I’m talking 30% of novel size). Even if they only get together at the end of the actual story, you have the satisfaction of imagining the happy in the happily ever after.
This happened in As Beautiful As You and there were some hairy moments even in the epilogue. Also in No Pain No Gsin where the novel had a better epilogue than the series.
It’s what makes Chinese dramas more interesting than American ones which leave you wanting for more
I’ve started watching those revenge vertical dramas where every character is so one dimensional that getting revenge on them feels liberating.. I’m loving the Chinese content for its story, bottom line.

It’s mostly the editing and music that make this possible….. their usage of music conveys the exact feeling you want the audience to feel…. Their usage of various cinematography techniques makes the whole experience real to our brain…. It felt like I am living through the events instead of it being a story and acting

The pyramid scam the mom was part of was orchestrated by zhang bin as far as I remember from ep 9 or 10 when the other Zai guy’s right hand man boasts about it…. He’s like: nothing will happen to us now because nothing happened then….
Chen Yi doesn’t even boil water until the epilogue of the novel and he’s cooking complicated dishes from the beginning of the drama? I like the drama character better😇😇

Mango tv doesn’t do cc well…. I’ve seen this in previous series also…. I just pause and google lens the text….. in today’s episode she says “hurt my hand, come back and wash the dishes”…. But the translation is weak from google: “hurt my hand but I came back to do the dishes “🤦♀️😅
Only one thing I can’t accept in ep 11….. the mothers in the cyber cafe all saying it’s okay to get any score and they still love their child🫡🫡 wold be the preparation before sacrifice(beheading ritual) or pure fiction
