I hate when someone interferes in someone else's life. She manages her life good. All three episodes wanna tell…
She isn't exactly happy, is she? She has isolated herself from the world. Goes out only at night. Her monologues and convos with the cat clearly expresses she isn't happy
People are complaining about the FL having less screentime so here's the thing, in any story, the hero can be of two types - Proactive and Reactive. In most cases, the heroes are reactive cz somehow things happen to them instead of them making things happen. The FL here is clearly a reactive hero while the ML is the proactive hero who is making decisions driving the plot. And this is not a bad thing cz the plot itself is centered around the FL as there will be no plot without her and ML's decisions are all related to her.
thiss I am enjoying this drama too but what I dislike about the ML is that he was like βdon't believe in rumorsβ…
Even I find the stalking weird but I think him not approaching her is not bcz he thinks she is a witch too but bcz he wants to prove she is not a witch and tell her when he meets her. In episode 3 he was going to meet her with the books and his report when he thought he already proved she was not a witch but she had already left town. Then he finds out his report had errors and didn't reach a conclusion.
And honestly from plot point of view it wouldn't help if he approaches her cz according to the plot, he will die lol. So the writers added him stalking her to put them atleast in some scenes together π
What if... there's a stalker of Mi Jeong who ki*ls the guys who confess to her. And her dad's case was just a…
I wished for the same thing but the guy getting stuck by lightening and the other guy by electrical wire just after he confessed to her will not add up to that theory...
Idk what everyone was talking about till now but episode 4 confused me so much with its pacing and structure π…
1. I think the problem was the structuring of that scene. It starts with the senior so the focus is placed more on him rather than MiJung's friend. I couldn't even recognize her when she came cz Ig we had seen her like only twice b4 this scene..? and he uses her surname Heo when MiJung had called her Sil i so yeah that scene was confusing for me.
2. JungHyeok's story is interesting, even tho it was confusing I'm looking forward to it. He seemed to know the girl and her parents.
3. I think I didn't express my point well. IMO he should have moved back to his house in the town for the investigation instead of moving to her apartment cz that is completely unnecessary. I thought he quit his job bcz of that. It will take time (days) to interview his friends, school mates, go through all those documents at school, etc. Will he keep going back and forth? It doesn't make sense.
4. Same here. I think the stalking part is completely unnecessary and avoidable as it doesn't serve any purpose but maybe as u said motivation to help her more..?
are we gonna see romance scenes? iwanna see them interract
Since the main plot is that the guys who like her die, we probably won't see them interact till he finds out whether she is actually a witch or not, and if she is how can he overcome the curse

Idk what everyone was talking about till now but episode 4 confused me so much with its pacing and structure π Why was there a random argument between 2 PDs (I think the girl was Mijung's friend but not sure) in the middle of nowhere? What did that have to do with the story? The story with Jung Hyuk was also confusing...
When Dong Jin quit his job after giving an example of San Fransisco that they collected data locally, I thought he was going to move back to the town to investigate but no, he firsts rents a place at FL's apartment, stalks her again and then went back to his town at the end of the episode? π
Still loving Jinyoung tho I'm really concerned now by his stalking. Ig we can let it go cz we know the intention behind it....? But how is he following her, going thru her mail, renting a place at her building, etc; helping her?? If he doesn't keep that sweet innocent expression while doing all this, its going to become an entirely different drama lol.
Kudos to him for such good acting. Even tho the actions are questionable, I still can't dislike him bcz of his good intentions and behavior!
Loving Jinyoung's acting! Episode 3 was soo good that episode 4 is kinda disappointing after it. I don't find it slow at all but epi 4 was confusing... Great to see Mijung has a friend! She should hang out more with girls as the curse only affects boys.
But my one and only major complaint is - why is there not a single OST yet? The music has been good no doubt, especially the snow falling reverse scene, and all scenes with DongJin's mother in episode 3! But I like connecting good scenes, acting, moments with a good OST. It makes the scenes more memorable.
I really loved episode 3!! π₯Ήπ₯Ή Jinyoung's acting is so good! I think DongJin is going to become my fav character…
Even tho he wasn't able to reach a conclusion in his report I hope he still finds a logical explanation for everything! I really don't want it to be a curse or something after watching this episode π₯²
I really loved episode 3!! π₯Ήπ₯Ή Jinyoung's acting is so good! I think DongJin is going to become my fav character played by Jinyoung (Kim Gaon the crown is tilting). How does he surpasses my expectation with each new drama he does?!
Coming to the plot itself, I found this the most unique story I watched in recent years. The ML trying to help the FL not with money(tho he did try partially by working part-time to buy her books), and not even emotionally by just comforting her with empty words but going to lengths by working on her issue by making it his college project?! I could never actually imagine sm1 doing that in irl. He is not just trying to help her but learning skills and logic to do so.
Ok sidenote, what were the writers thinking when writhing Dongjin lol. He does stupid things and doesn't even realize it. 1st episode he was stalking FL and in 3rd epi he is trespassing her house? Granted the house is empty now and its not like the 1st drama where main leads think they have the right to enter any old abandoned place but when he just casually entered the house, I started laughing is this allowed?π
it's because her POV doesn't add anything new, like there isn't some revelation and we don't understand anything…
I think u didn't get my point. Those repeating scenes aren't supposed to reveal anything new but the FL's feelings to the things going on around her that's why she is narrating the 2nd episode. Those scenes were cut in the 1st episode to hide the boys' confessions which reveals a new thing and her walking away from school with an inner monologue is supposed to reveal her feelings. All repeating scenes have motive but the lack of emotions portrayal from the FL feels like they are the same scenes.
I think the problem is not that the 2nd episode is repeating the same scenes as 1st; but that its supposed to be from the FL's POV and we are not able to connect with the FL. In the 1st episode we get immersed instantly cz Jinyoung portrays the character's feelings very well but sadly Roh Jeong Eui is not able to portray the emotions right. She feels very bland..? The confusion she feels at first, then being afraid to be close with any1 and then the griefs of several deaths and eventually her father's, all seem the same from her acting.. Jinyoung laid the foundation well in the 1st episode but I have doubts Roh Jeong Eui's acting is going to improve or not.. Going to keep watching for Jinyoung!
I saw someone on Tik Tok making a theory, what if he is the one killing them sonehow cause he wants to Be the only…
That plot twist would be so good! But those kids dying by lightening and electric wire doesn't make sense. I hope they have some logical explanation for everything like the ML is trying to find cz right now there is only 2 possibilities.
1. All these are coincidences (which should not be the case with the no. of deaths/ injuries they've shown) 2. Its paranormal (her dead mother has resentment against FL as she died giving birth to her and they don't even hold ceremony for her cz obviously it coincides with FL's birthday) π
Somehow I feel there is no way the story is going to end on a logical conclusion at all. But I love the ML's approach to it.
Guys the genre is mystery, romance and drama. Give your ratings based on that. Obviously it'll be slow. If u were expecting heartwarming, romcom its ur fault cz the trailers never gave that idea.
Agree and I like it too, but the pacing was a little slow for me in the 2nd episode. I know they wanted to end the episode with the father's death but I think the story after his death is going to be more interesting.. I think the part where she is being told to leave by the neighbors could have been included in this episode itself but lets see..
The thing I'm most curious about is how did Park Mi Jung know that the senior was bit by a wasp and that other kid got stuck by lightening around the corner? I haven't read the manga so Idk where the story is going. B4 these 2 incidents I was thinking its only coincidences.
On a funny and illogical note, I find it funny how this drama has shown different ways a person can die π Each being more ridiculous or maybe rare/unique that the other.
Just finished both the episodes and honestly I'm glued! The pacing is a bit slow I think cz according to the precap for next episode, there is still some backstory left. I think the backstory should have ended with this episode.. Nonetheless I didn't find it boring at all!
And honestly from plot point of view it wouldn't help if he approaches her cz according to the plot, he will die lol. So the writers added him stalking her to put them atleast in some scenes together π
