Title Cinderella Game Spoiler
So Yeojin only sent someone to scare Hana and Ji Seok’s parents, but the men felt generous and killed them instead? (How convenient.)

Anyway, she’s still responsible for the death of their parents, and I get that the Goo siblings have to get along with the kid’s grandparents for his sake, but can they really act like nothing happened? As if Yeojin wasn’t responsible for their parents’ death? And the whole “Do you want to be my daughter?” “Do you want to be my son?” That’s just too ridiculous, I feel bad for their parents.

And regarding Se Yeong—is she the same character whose mom had to tell her that Yujin was dead just to make her feel BETTER because she was terrified Hana/Yujin might remember what happened and get her in trouble? The one who, after finding out Hana wasn’t Yujin, started treating her even worse—humiliating and mistreating her more than before?

They tied Se Yeong’s hair and that was enough to change her personality in the last 10 episodes.

so, the drama ends and we’re left with questions that will never be answered:

What happened to Hana’s mom?
Why does Hana remember a woman playing the piano?
Was Hana able to play the piano again?
Was the fire that killed the dad an accident?
What were her adoptive parents supposed to tell Hana when she grew up?
What happened to Duna’s adoptive parents?
What happened to the kid’s paternal family?

Seyoung started the drama causing Yujin to go missing. Her mother turned out to be the villain caused all the…
So, in the end, Duna, who was raising a child alone—one she couldn’t even acknowledge because she was afraid he would be killed—died alone on the street, thrown away like a run-over dog. Meanwhile, Se Yeong, who was an abusive person for 90% of the drama, ended up well: married to the CEO of the company she wanted to steal and on good terms with the parents of the dead cousin. Good.

Anyway, for me the problem isn’t what happened or that things turned out well for Se Yeong, the problem is how poorly developed it all is.

Same, I totally agree with you.
And what I mean is that what ruined the drama wasn't the appearance of the conflict, but how the writers developed it.

I don't know, at the beginning when Hana had to struggle to find work while also taking care of her younger siblings, it wasn't that bad. The dynamic between her, the younger siblings, and the kid also worked well—especially with the kid. I'm talking about when she was a tour guide, not when she started working under Se Yeong as a boss and turned into a brainless punching bag.

Obviously, I’m not saying that the conflict ruined the drama—the more conflict you have in a drama, the better it's. I’m referring more to how the writers gradually turned Hana into a passive character, someone things just happen to, to the point where you even start to wonder if she was really the main character.

It made me laugh the scene where Myeong Ji is talking to herself like a crazy person in jail, and suddenly the camera cuts to her cellmates, who have this "WTF is wrong with this lady" look on their faces.

How are they going to pack all that into 30 minutes?? Cruella escape and kidnap of Eunchong, Se Yeong disappearance,…
I think se Yeong is not going to show up anymore. Maybe, after some time, Ji Seok receives a letter from her (with "hopeful" music in the background) and it ends on an open note.

Oh boy prison break last episode of the season to attempt to hijack the wedding and cause chaos ... cause breaking…
And obviously M is going to confess that she killed Hana’s adoptive parents without realizing there's a crowd behind her watching, so it works as a confession. Maybe she even admits she set fire to Hana’s biological father's house.

It's really bad writing. It doesn’t matter what M confesses, because at this point there’s no time for the confession to have any real impact on the characters or the plot. There’s zero time for the characters to process the "revelation".

I knew the final conflict was going to be Myeong Ji having the child kidnapped for two scenes.

And Yujin isn't going to show up — what the kid said was just an attempt by the writers to keep people interested by making them speculate about it. Poor writing, in my opinion.

The 'embodiment of vengeance', or something like that. Sure, this feels more like a revenge drama written by Mother Teresa and Padre Pio.

random question. I notice a lot of comments about how people hate this drama but are still watching up to 97 episodes.…
Following that logic, no product could be criticized because you're using it. The drama wasn't always as bad as it is now, and if 30 or 40 episodes ago it had shown the same quality it's showing now, I definitely would have stopped watching it—just like many people probably did.
There are many things that simply don’t work in this drama from a writing standpoint—just as there are some things that do—and it’s fair to criticize the writers for the work they did.
What’s frustrating about this drama is that it had potential; the story was actually interesting.

Personally, I still don't see how that handwritten notebook ties everything together and is more significant then…
The notebook thing is one of the dumbest parts of this drama because it makes no sense that M kept it — the only purpose it serves in the plot is to get her arrested.

I knew this show was going to turn terrible but I held out hope when the initial 30 or so episodes were going…
It’s definitely not because of her impressive acting, though I don’t think she’s that bad of an actress either. I think it’s because people are annoyed that a character who spent 99% of the time looking bitter and disgusted with everyone, mistreating anyone who was in a weaker position than her, is now being redeemed as if she were a misunderstood soul instead of an abuser.

I don’t think Yeojin is the mother because nowhere in the drama does it say she had other children. It’s also not possible that Yujin and Hana were switched at the hospital, because Yujin’s son is Yeojin’s biological grandson.

I think the theory that Hana’s adoptive mom is actually her biological mother comes only from the fact that she went to look for her at the orphanage and claimed to know her 'real' parents. Plus, at this point, there’s no other character left who could be Hana’s mother besides her.
Unless they just leave it open-ended, which honestly wouldn’t surprise me, because this drama’s quality has dropped so much.

Once I read a comment from someone who had the theory that the biological mother would turn out to be the adoptive mother. To me, it’s just going to be that, and nothing more.

I see 4 eps remaining of this terrible drama. Question to those who watch the ending:Is Eunchong ok?Is MyeongJi…
I agree with you that it's terrible. Looking back, I think the quality started to drop a lot after that whole stupid fake daughter storyline, and now that all we get is Se Yeong crying and complaining, it's downright unwatchable. Even Ji Seok, who used to be one of the characters with a brain, became boring once he forgot about revenge and started focusing only on what Se Yeong does or thinks.

Apart from the wicked witch finally going to prison, I don't like how Jiseok is gonna be paired with Seyoung, for…
I agree with you that it was a mistake to kill off Yujin. The entire drama revolves around her, so her return at some point in the story would have created much more conflict than what was generated with Hana.

For example, a confrontation between Yujin and Se Yeong would have had a much bigger impact than one with Hana, simply because those two share a backstory, and the childhood incident affected both of their lives.

There’s no relationship between Hana and Se Yeong—what happened was just bullying on Se Yeong’s part, because she’s insecure.

Another good option could have been that Yujin was adopted by Hana’s adoptive family. That would’ve created even more conflict, just from the fact that the biological mother would’ve been responsible for killing the adoptive parents.

Okay - so I need to rant about Se Young and how the drama is giving her time/episodes to play a victim. 1. Even…
It seems that a character's suffering is enough to justify them mistreating others.

So I guess Hana should’ve taken the chance to do whatever she wanted back when she was being abused as a child in the first home she lived in, or when she was so poor she drank expired milk because she didn’t want to throw it away.

They are trying to put her and Jiseok as end-game. That is why. They are trying to lay the foundations.
I don’t think she’s a terrible actress either—I’m sure there are roles where looking bitter and yelling is more than enough. I’m just saying they’re giving her screen time that would normally go to a lead, when she doesn’t have the presence to justify it.

Because the writers decided that he had to end up in love with someone, and they established that Se-yeong was the best option, probably thinking 'two attractive people together — people like that,' and that was it. Pretty much the same reason why Hana is with Jingu.

Jingu is another character who has no screen presence, unlike Ji Seok.
