I don’t think it’s weird she's like a naive girl, which is pretty typical for most of Bai Lu’s characters, usually, there's some character development or a twist later on if you read the synopsis. So far, it looks like the male lead is somehow connected to her since he keeps showing up whenever she’s in trouble. She wanted to marry him because she felt guilty for taking advantage of him after kissing his face.
