I think the fact that she did come back, even after everything, says a lot more about her growth than if she had stayed while emotionally shutting down. As for the ML, I think he understood that her running wasn’t about him, but about the fear she’s still learning to cope with. Trust can still be built, even when mistakes happen it just takes time and effort from both sides

It wasn’t inconsistency it was closure on their terms.

The drama is based on trauma from the female lead that is why she left the male lead because she thought it was the best decision but that is flawed and the drama acknowledged that, you have to understand her to like the drama, unlike some people who will only defend male leads when they are flawed but cannot have empathy and understanding for flawed female leads
