Hey she is not a tree, she can MOVE out of that bad situation. Nobody tied her with a rope and beat her up. It is easy for her to get out of all that. Also, her jealousy and insecurity and backstabbing JI is totally 100% her CHOICE. JG is slimey.

Jae In is INDIRECTLY responsible for all messes bc she was wilingly OBLIVIOUS. She just ignored all the signs, even ppl kissing and hugging and blood coming out of GC after SR bought him medicine and talked JI into lying it was her mother who bought it. JI lied on SR's behalf..

And I have thoughts on #4. I suspect that maybe the aunt GAVE her kid to YL chairman so taht YL would have a male heir.

So far in my explanation, Buddhism and Hinduism matches Christianity. Spolier describes how they differ from this point on.

The first time she did that, Bc she is not perfect :) Maybe bc she is human and lacks the Bigger Understanding, she saves human lives regardless if some deity must eat them. Maybe she had some valid reasons, for example a better plan for Bibi. But in any case imo her fault is that she never TALKED about it with him, she just jumped in to make decisions for him, and that is a no-no. She is NOT an expert on imugis and cannot play God.
The second time she did that, it was not about Bibi but about GC in human body helping Bibi. So that's different and she had a good point. Bibi should have listened.

As for 6 yr time lapse, that is OK to do in a story. THat is artistic freedom to jump in time or to time lapse to any time, past of future, for any amount of time. Use your imagination.

Christianity conveniently fails to mention that this kind of Judgment actually happens EVERY SECOND of your living life and determines where you as a live person will "go next" what will happen next in your Earthly life. It is called KARMA. And no, you cannot just confess, give a donation to church and be done with your bad deeds, thoughts or speech LOL (That is why Christianity crossed karma out long time ago during church conventions, they just rewrote what Jesus was teaching. )

The process of Judgment is just more intense when you die and cross the Sanzu river because then there is the next reincarnation to be determined, if any, that is a lot bigger decision and you might have to wait a little bit, so the Spirit has to put you into an appropriate "waiting room".

Also Christianity conveniently fails to mention that your Spirit stays the same CHARACTER as you were as living, so you might have to wait a while on the other side of Sanzu river to reflect upon your Earthly life and then you will reincarnate to pay any remaining karmic debts.

In terms of killings committed, the 8fter is still the better one than the slimey king back then.
The king caused the entire village of innocents to DIE the worst death, for the purpose of saving his own as$. Yeah the $ in there is intentional. That is what the King was really preserving - his pampered entitled existence.

The 8fter tried to save the King and offered his own village to help the king. THe king severely and slimey betrayed him. Then the 8fter witnessed death of his own child and his own village... of how many ppl? Like ... 100?
Then 8fter killed how many kings? NONE.... He killed a rotten prince, 1 queen and 1 royal baby, and possessed 1 prince and 2 kings, and then killed a few people here and there that were in his way, like... Bibi, a few guards, grandma shaman, and tried to harm GC andYR. That's about it!!!!! He was killing adults directly responsible and anyone in his way. In comparison what the old King did, ... the 8ther is a better one LOL

Different cultures call that "space" between the dead and the living by different names . Koreans call it Sanzu river. And the dead person must choose willingly to cross that space. If they refuse, they stay hanging around the Earthly plane as a ghost, and if a ghost messes with Earthly life and INTENTIONALLY causes harms, they become a vengeful evil spirit. The rite was just for the 8fter to ACCEPT to cross.

The Spirit can reflect upon their Earthly life - possibly for a (long) while - and then determine if and when and how they want to reincarnate to finish their karmic lessons and pay off their karmic debt and move closer to ENLIGHTENMENT.

So.... when the 8fter disappeared, he went to cross the Sanzu river, and then he will be Examined and Judged and then sent somewhere where he deserved to go, ie based on his karma. Therefore, he will go to some kind of "hell" for sure.

There is more to this story as the Law of Karma rules not only that BIG JUDGMENT on the other side of Sanzu river, but also rules EVERY SECOND OF OUR EARHTLY LIFE :) to deermine what happens next to us in Earthly life... . That is called KARMA. I describe this in the spoiler.

SO EACH ONE OF US ALREADY LIVES IN SOME KIND OF HELL OR HEAVEN IN THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF OUR EARTHLY LIFE AND OUR MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL STATE.

YOUR THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS DETERMINE IF YOU ARE LIVING IN HELL OR HEAVEN :)

So.... the 8fter ALREADY lived in his own hell, hell in his own mind and heart, ever since he became a vengeful spirit messing around the Earthly plane, in His hell was feeling so toxically burning of hate and resentment..... and instead of dealing with it in productive compassionate ways, he went into a revenge that caused even more harms... So he will have to pay for all of that karmically.
As a Spirit on the other side of the Sanzu river, he will be "sent to hell" and self reflect until it is time for him to reincarnate from where he left off and PAY HIS KARMIC DEBT while living again.

Even one REPEATED THOUGHT of killing is deserving of hell.

It hit me afterwards... there is really no sexism in this kdrama. The script for the FL was a pioneer... FL w is a strong, smart, capable, knowledgeable, talented, independent, common sense, and very exemplary WOMAN, and she is an equal partner to the ML. She saved him, he saved her, they communicated, they became a very strong team who does great things. They truly cared for each other and acted as each other's teacher and disciple, they listened to each other. A very exemplary relationship. I think they are pioneers for relationships in the modern age.

And it started in misunderstanding, hate, selfishness, etc but both of them are strong people and get the right things done and well, so they each EARNED RESPECT OF EACH OTHER and from that respect, came TRUST, and from that came FRIENDSHIP and then they noticed that the other person is yummy :) There are so many sizzling hot romantic scenes in this kdrama and lots of humor related to it. It is very deep. And that is how the King became the friend, by giving romantic advice lol that was totally hilarious and so endearing and so ... acurate. The King was correct :)

Also, I noticed that the Gang Cheol story is so refined and so fine because he starts as a very evolved and deep character with deep understanding, he STARTS as a spiritual disciple, 1000 years of alone meditation and trying to ascend... So he is a DEEP character, very evolved, and yeah not perfect LOL he had last issues to overcome before the ascension... and it just so happened that the way that helped him ascend was contact and a working relationship with a being that is exemplary, which happened to be a human being... Humans are known to be flawed but that is actually human greatest strenght, having a strong character in spite of temptation for flaws... And FL was that! And ... she happened to be female, and the love he finally felt freed Gang Cheol from the last remnants of selfishness in him. He learned to truly care, love, give, and SERVE and in that, he ascended.

The fun and very deep part of this story is the message of Jade King or God or Divine or however you want to call it... When GC literally GAVE everything of him in service to Good Causes, he paradoxically gained his ascension and also the right to choose how to spend it. That is the powerful message of Mercy of God, from Christianity, and message of karma from Buddhism, and message of "the outcome is 25% disciple's effort, 25% teachers' effort, and 50% mercy of God" message of Yoga.

So yeah this drama is so classy and elegant because the whole "vibe" is very fine, sophisticated, on the very high level, the entire time, the relationship between ML and FL and character growth is on a super high level of communication and understanding.

That contrasts to true slimey evil weak blind shaman character, weak falling greedy characters like chief minister etc, and weak slimey flawed characters that grow and redeem, like queen mama. So it is hidden under the rug and if you are not into "yoga" you might miss what truly gives the light and the juice and the vibe to the drama.

Also,that is why FL actress stiff acting was passable :) It is very hard to portray a pioneer :) and also she could not leave ANY traces of doubt as to how exemplary she was. Otherwise it would confuse the audience LOL But in the future, it is entirely possible to have sexy saints and dancer saints, and so on. Being a being of a higher vibration comes in many flavors :) but it ALWAYS involves the strictest adherence to the "10 commandments" and laws of creating good karma and act, thought, and speech ... naturally and genuinely, not just by self control of pretending LOL like the church does LOL the more adherence, the higher the vibe.... and yeah eventually it does look rather bland in terms of "personality" and physical expression yet is super alive like Jesus or Buddha would look like.

So creating a piece of art like on this level requires HAVING such experiences or at least the capacity to envision it or wish for it. I encourage making more of high vibe art.

It is extremely satisfying to write frustrations here in real time LOL I feel like I am in a huge family living room :) SO ANYWAYS THE DANCER!!!! such a loooooooooser!!!! he has nothing and does only stupid things and THEN HE feels entitled to guess how his eldest brother would feel and then to insult and harass and belittle and bully GS with his dirty spewing ... wow what a jerk!!!!! The Hairdresser needs to make him eat some dirt and grow up ASAP. ... ASAP... BUT he said more loudly what 2 other brothers said too...

Yeah! and there was so many other hot moments going in that direction ... in the yard etc. But ppl forgot? Didnt see? or expect some cheapo holywood TMI kind of thing... ??? I am so glad we never got to be bothered to see them specifically in their private moments, imo it is like watching someone go to bathroom, it is THEIR time :)
