I think you need to know first what you are talking about. Shamanism and witchcraft are traditional healing AND destruction methods,

IT CAN BE USED OR MISUSED BY THE PRACTITIONERS, SO DO NOT ASSUME AUTOMATICALLY IT IS ALWAYS "NICE" . It is like owning a gun. Some use it just for hunting and some use it to kill ppl.

Be very very very sure that there are those who DO practice it to harm others. Some even make a living by taking money from people to do harm to others. It is very common in Africa today and elsewhere....

So you cannot just blanket endorse it. Some of it will be really bad stuff. Haunted Palace and Head over Heels are just some recent kdramas that address use of shamanism for evil purposes. Head Over Heels is an extremely dangerous kdrama to watch because it hooks you into that kind of the world and causes severe consequences. Any horror movie like that, will do that.

I think what you should focus on is the healing use of it and praising that, bc it is very powerful and useful. Many kdramas have very accurate and helpful shamans :) I love the one from Sorry Not Sorry drama lol Tibetan Buddhists have amazing shamans.... Dalai Lama consults them.... etc.

But one has to be super extra careful and NO DABBLING into this as it requires super strict and long training

And honestly, it is better to become a meditator and God loving saintly being than to become a shaman :) if you can... shamans and witches are on this side of the Wall of Grief, i.e. normal human beings susceptible to evil influences, and those who meditate and get closer to God are not - and they can heal too :) God grants any wish you wish, if you are so devoted

Watching a movie or drama is like going on a blind date - you have to come in with no expectations and roll with the punches, and if you are having a good time, stay till the end. If you feel like it is not working, you go to restroom and never come back... Since you already have a crush on the guy who knows the boss, perhaps you can comfort him when the FL refuses him ;)

I totally disagree with you. I dont think ML is miscast... I think he is energetic and he is truly enjoying the makjang acting :)
Also, that other dude Kim Jee Hoon looks like a peer of FL He looks much younger than he is. Since FL is in those baggy clothes and totally unkept, she looks older than she is.

Exactly, I dont want to see any more discussion on that topic bc frankly, that is just waste of time. It is not affecting the drama or a society in a negative way. There are plenty ADULT couples with 19 yrs age difference and often you do not even know. Some ppl look older, some look younger, who even knows how old ppl are. In this case we are privy to their birth dates, which SHOULD BE personal information. Personally to me those two look like a good pair.

So why bother talking about it. Let us discuss THE DRAMA ITSELF.

Oh I just found out that ML actor is famous from Squid Games 1, 2, 3, ... 4? I didn't watch that :) I hate violence stuff like that. So this drama is actually his biographical drama, to get away from SG kinda stuff and to play a melo and rom com. And he is :) Indeed LOL

ML ACTOR IS GOOD LOOKING :) HE IS CHARMING. HE SMILES WELL. HIS EYES SMILE. HE IS SO FRIENDLY AND CUTE. SO THAT IS SETTLED. He doesnt look like an old man and he matches the FL actress.
Also, as characters, ML and FL fit, bc FL is spunky and loves detectives since she is one too.... and she has the guts to stand up to him and shake him out of his diva mode. Perrrrrfect rom com situation :) If FL were older, she could not have done that. As a younger woman, she feels free to discrespect him :) and she is energetic and puts effort to shake his lazy arrogant as#. So... the age difference is kinda a part of the plot :)

People call ML actor "miscast" here but he is just having fun acting makjang. Totally overdoing it... It is clear it is mostly fake acting and that he is having FUN. So I hope he will buckle down and do the rom com for real. It is possible :)

I loved the moment when he angrily brushed teeth in Ep 2. That was soooo hillarious. So I hope he gets into his rom com / comedy mode for real a lot more :)

The FL actress is absolutely totally completely PHENOMENAL ACTRESS, she is acting for real and it is just AMAZING to watch!!!!! I am having so much fun seeing a female actress who is the top of her game, woooow!!!! SHE ACTS SO WELL!!!! She was a super extra perfect villain in Glory - SHE is the only one whom I remember - and now she is a perfect young stuck and righteous political reporter SSB and dressed in unisex clothes 3 sizes larger .... with a crush on our Mr. Makjang Dude.... I never expected her to fall in love with him so fast :) but she did .. . and those scenes were so hillarious and endearing at the same time, so funny and so realistic, omg she is SUCH A GREAT ACTRESS. I am now 10000% a fan. This is truly a genius actress.

I am surprised those girls did not make videos about FL saving their friend from idol bodyguards and getting her famous that way...

So far the twists in the script are HILLARIOUS, this is a really good script. And the filming is super fun, super hillarious, the camera work and how the scenes are put together also adds to the comedy. Like... she is falling in love, and he is cussing her LOL

I love this drama. I dont like how revengeful FL is at the moment so I hope very soon she will mellow down and be nicer to her crush :) I suppose together they will be chasing her political corruption case :)
