I figure the fast pacing also hinders people from connecting properly. Maybe that also throws you off. The plot just keeps rolling forward so unless you jump into the wagon early on, it's hard to keep up (as in get attached, understand the plot, and stuff). Because of the short seasons and short episodes, they cut out a lot of the middle. Rather than focusing on plot, they focused on characters and their growth by putting them in tough constraints. It's definitely a way of storytelling that just won't resonate with a lot of people since it requires a lot of suspension of disbelief.
I have so many thoughts and a lot to process, but the main thing I’m wondering is like…what type of show was…

If you didn't know, bullying in Korea is really bad. Not to this violent degree, but it's severe. While watching this, you notice how everyone is complicit to the issue. The amount of people who watched and allowed it to get out of hand. They're also calling out the corruption issue prevalent in Korea. Not just in office, but the cops as well. They're exposing the truth of the education system. The lack of attention towards student's mental health. There's a lot there.
The series is a character's journey. You're watching characters experience friendships for the first time, how the bullied can become the bullies, how a parents' neglect can affect a person...You just want the characters' to find happiness and peace, to see them do well. The harder they try to fight, the harder life fights back. It's just not fair ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
(commenting this everywhere) i feel like I've watched every good BL that exists and now I'm actually stuck...…
I went through your list, and I don't think I saw Blueming in there. Based on your ratings, I don't know if it'd be your type of thing, but it's genuinely really good. Just make sure you give it 100% of your attention, and pay attention to the little details. It's hurt/comfort and the actors are really good.
In a world where people's attention span is cut to five seconds, and people doomscroll while playing TV in the background, this series reminds you the importance of paying attention and reading in between the lines. It encourages you to think and analyze.
I'd say the first episode is the weakest, but upon rewatching it for the first time after a few years, I realized that everything I needed to know about Siwon was shown discreetly. I fell for his outside appearance and thought this episode was just,,, mundane. Just a regular day to day. But I realized I wasn't really questioning the small things that were out of place. I'd say that, objectively speaking, the breakfast scene with his family is the most important from the first episode. But in my opinion, the scene of Siwon stopping at the noodle shop on his way home was, perhaps, the most insightful scene. I won't describe it, but pay attention to the body language, the small facial expressions, and the overall vibe. Once you understand what I mean, then you'll truly understand what the series asks you to do for the rest of the show.
Guys do you know of a Discord server for BL (and GL possibly) that talks about Revenged Love?I need to join one…
I know one that I'm in! I really love it there. We talk about manhwa, Danmei, fanfiction, etc. But we also have some chats outside of that, like art and stuff. I could message you the link on here if you still want it ^_^
I'm not one to enjoy Thai BL, but gave this a try and don't regret it. The first and second episode had me a little iffy, but by the third episode, I was really into it. And my God, the damn Master was serving so hard all the time. Face card— no cash, no credit!!!
I also can’t seem to find any good Thailand BLs, even the best ones are so…that’s my personal taste. Nothing against them, though, just can’t get through any of them because it’s all so…forced.
