Ep2: I really want to watch it, but she's actually not funny at all, and I’m not surprised he's not laughing
Firstly she's an amateur comic, secondly the jokes are lost in translation from Chinese (lots of the jokes are plays on Chinese words), and thirdly the jokes are intentionally tame/lame due to China's censorship rules.

Other than the jokes, this drama is really wonderful. 😁

Well, I have to say, it started shaky with me. But I have to say, WELL DONE! I enjoyed it.
I'm so glad you stuck with it. ❤️
I loved it from the start, the character introductions were interesting and the cinematography grabbed me right away

I am Lin Yi

Friends, I'm here👋🏻 First, I'd like to say hello to everyone as Liang Daiwen!

Hello everyone~ I'm Liang Daiwen! (It feels like the beginning of a talk show)

Actually, every time an interview asks me to speak in Liang Daiwen's tone, I feel a little overwhelmed, haha, I don't know what to say, I'm worried that what I say is not complete and will be interpreted in other strange directions😅, but when I think about it, Liang Daiwen, who has alexithymia, seems to be similar to me, but he is more direct and brave than me, he doesn't worry so much, doesn't care about the outside world's eyes, does what he wants to do, does what he thinks is right, sometimes I really think Liang Daiwen's world is actually pretty good, very pure, not so many twists and turns, no need to guess whether what he said has any meaning, what he said is what it is, it's very simple in his world.

It may be a bit biased to say this, but Liang Daiwen is probably the role I have spent the most time and energy on so far. When I finished reading the script for the first time, I knew that judging from the length of Liang Daiwen's role in the script, it would be a bit difficult to play this role well and make the audience understand it. But I still wanted to challenge myself. In order to find the part that I could grasp, I started taking classes and discussing with teachers a long time before joining the crew. The staff laughed and said that I seemed to be a little obsessed and was already at the level of doing academic seminars, but I knew that these were processes that would allow me to better understand myself and Liang Daiwen. Through Liang Daiwen, I "diagnosed" my alexithymia, which is not a bad thing for me, but a kind of growth. I am also grateful to the teacher who has been accompanying me day and night to read the script and do homework, which inspired me to find the motivation for Liang Daiwen and myself.

There was a time when I couldn't laugh or cry. I would unconsciously analyze whether I should laugh or cry at the moment. Although the analysis determined the answer, when I wanted to express it, I had already missed the outlet for that emotion. So people around me found that my reaction was always half a beat slower, and the whole person's rhythm was slow. Sometimes it was just a simple joke, and I would analyze it for a long time (but this would also have unexpected gains, just like Liang Daiwen often analyzed Gu Yi's current situation in the jokes, haha). I don't know if you can understand my inner activities.

Later I realized that my subconscious mind wanted to escape those emotions, so I always slipped away when I should give the answer to the emotion. It gradually became a subconscious habit and blocked a lot of feelings. Liang Daiwen made me know that I should pay more attention to myself, accept myself, understand myself, and not force myself to integrate into other people's world, and I don't have to live according to other people's rules. The process of studying him and becoming him actually healed me, and also allowed me to really enter Liang Daiwen and know what he was thinking about every moment in his brain without fantasy. I am really lucky to meet Leung Dai-man at such a good time. I am glad to be able to play such a role. If I hadn't explored my inner thoughts with him, I might have really become a robot. Haha!

We should also thank Shen Yue @沈月for such a good reputation this time . She is a very good person. Sometimes she is so good that I hope she can play some tricks and think more about herself, but there is no way. She is such a kind person. Like Gu Yi, she will become a little conservative when encountering some things. I want to tell her that you just need to be yourself now and believe that everything will get better and better. Of course, she is also a very ambitious and dedicated actor. I see a lot of things in her that I still need to learn (although good friends don't need to say polite words, but this is really not a polite word). She is as warm and independent as Gu Yi, and can also heal the people around her and bring joy to everyone (and occasionally complain). She is completely a little sun in the universe, a walking hand warmer (baggage?). We are all I people who pretend to be E people in this world. It is really rare to meet good friends with the same frequency. It is even more happy to be able to create new things together. I won't say anything else. We both have a phobia of being praised. If I say too many good words, I am afraid that she will clench her fist and punch the wall again, haha!

Next, I would like to thank the producer Miao @M苗萌M and the director Che @车亮逸Randy . This is the second time I have worked with Miao. When I was working on Liuliwa, I felt that Miao was a producer who wanted to make good content. She always wanted to convey something positive, warm and meaningful to the audience. Although there were many difficulties, she always persisted. As for Director Che, this is the first time we have worked together. Like me and Liang Daiwen, he also has some emotional barriers, so we spent a lot of time communicating and discussing this role in the early stage. I like his bold and innovative ideas, but sometimes the scene is really too dark and I am not used to it yet, so I want to ask him to turn on the lights. Haha, I also admire him for making himself look handsome every day. He is the most exquisite director I have ever seen. This is something that only people who are very self-disciplined can do. I also want to emulate him in this regard. I am very happy to work with you. I hope to work with such a serious production team in the future.

And all the actors and teachers in the play, because of their good acting skills, the audience can feel the warmth of Lost Laughter. Some of them are also teachers I have worked with in Xiyou Liuliwa. I am really happy to create with so many professional actors and learn a lot from you. Thank you for making the story of Liang Daiwen and Gu Yi more complete. (But I want to change the ending of Da Meixia. Her death was just a dream that Liang Daiwen and Gu Yi had after they got married. In fact, she was making breakfast for them. Ha) (Please deduct 1 if you support this ending)

Finally, thank you all for your hard work. I know that everyone is trying their best to let more people know about Lost Laughter and want Liang Daiwen and Gu Yi to be happy. It’s really great to meet such passionate people like you. It feels good to participate in this big project of Lost Laughter with everyone. There may be some things in this world that we can’t decide, but we can decide to become better ourselves. One day we will definitely see each other again! Passion!!! #电视失笑#

Do we think it’s going to be a happy ending? is there aexpress package?
Yes, it's a happy ending. I have the tencent/wetv app and purchased the Express package which gives you the next episode. The Express only works on a mobile device, you can't get the Express episode through a web browser.

Being objective is key. This drama from start to now has exuded quality. Whether it’s been the cinematography,…
I completely agree with you on the quality of this series. It is outstanding. I personally like the lighting choices, they match the main leads. One is monotone and in shadow, the other is bright and warm.

The negative comments about the FL have been puzzling as they are made before the series' conclusion. Neither lead is toxic, they both have flaws, needed personal growth and better communication skills to advance their relationship. I don't know anyone who accepts being kept in the dark and then dumped gracefully.

This series tells a wonderful story about acceptance, tolerance, friendship, and love. I don't expect everyone to love it but I hope they at least give it a chance.

Can’t miss out on my girl SY, but I’m a bit torn on the comments and ratings. Chat, is this drama worth watching?…
I think you will like it but it is a slow burn romance with a good amount of angst. I am also a SY fan and she is very good as the FL, LY the ML is also outstanding.

Both the FL and ML go through character growth as the episodes go on. Although the ML's character growth appears to be the main focus, the FL's growth is slow at the beginning but picks up in the second half. Her change is more subtle.

So if you like a slow burn drama with a sweet romance mixed in with slice of life, not over the top melodrama, and truly laugh out loud moments when you least expect it, this is for you.

The cinematography, lighting, sets and music are outstanding. The secondary characters are interesting and multi-dimensional and round out the story.

The FL's stand-up sets are pretty tame due to translation and censorship factors. It plays a part in the story but it's not the main focus.

I personally love this series but I also accept that not everyone will like it for whatever reason. This being said, this drama should be rated higher than how it's rated here.

I tried again rewatch a few more episodes but this is just a long drama, I have to drop this title. The romantic/comedy…
I'm sorry that this drama didn't resonate with you. Good thing Asia cranks out new dramas all the time, so there's always something for everyone. :-)

I'm currently reading the novel and I must say they follow the novel's plot and pacing pretty closely. I like the slow pacing as it feels more realistic to me and I enjoy the "slice of life" aspect too. I must say I love the cinematography and lighting, it just looks and feels different than other rom-com dramas.

Enjoy!!

I guess with so many episodes left I should have been prepared for the ending of episode 23. Just very frustrating.…
Her reaction is normal for anyone that was dumped from a relationship. She is basically going through the stages of grief.

One thing to keep in mind is GY doesn't know anything because LDW doesn't tell her anything. How many times did Dr. Shen advise LDW to be direct with GY? We, the audience know what's going on with LDW so we sympathize with him while blaming GY for her reaction.

I feel bad for both of them actually but I do believe they love each other.

Does anyone rmbr what liang dai wen saw at the end of episode 10 to make him go in his car and drink?
I think it was the stress of GY upset and drunk after she took the fall for a blunder at work, getting her settled back at his place, then seeing the dinner that GY's mother made still on the table. I'm sure seeing GY with her mother is hard for him.

No, but in ep 8 when Guyi met with the psychiatrist and Leyla, why the heck Daiwen was there and he heard all…
I did not think LDW should have been there BUT GY is not seeing Shen as a doctor, she is not his patient. She went there to get more information and a better understanding of alexithymia. Shen did not disclose any personal information to GY regarding LDW.

As for GY saying she wanted to be more than just friends, this was not a secret to anyone except maybe LDW.
