What's more outrageous is that isn't her biological mother but "godmother" after GXX received the corneas from the "godmother's" deceased daughter.

Some fans of other actors will do this to downgrade the show so it gets less views. For some reason Shen Yue gets a lot of hate from opposing fans of other Chinese actors/actresses.

Although the MDL rating is a loose guideline, I will always check the comments first then watch the first few episodes to decide on whether to continue.

I personally love this show and look forward to each new episode. Give it a try and decide for yourself. :-)

We watched 10+ episodes of GY chasing so now it's LDW's turn, turnabout is fair play in love. LOL.

I LOVE GY's mother. Tough but loving and supportive.

ZQ, LDW's boss set him up to blackmail him into staying with the firm. In addition to the plagiarism threat, she was also threatening GY's job and possibly future career working at any newspaper or magazine. Basically destroying both of them if he didn't renew his contract. LDW beat his boss to the punch by admitting to the plagiarism charge leaking the news to the press so that the news would spread on social media.

There are misunderstandings due to a lack of communication on his part along with lying to the FL to protect her.

However, this series still has a lot of sweet romance, witty and honest dialogue, and laugh out loud moments.

This also a healing drama so both leads work on themselves to advance the relationship. There is heartbreak but it's not overdone or dragged out too long. The scenes are believable.

I think you will enjoy it. If it gets to be too much just fast forward

Don't these dramas always have a section in the middle filled with relationship angst 🤣.

GY's response explains her perspective so well and why she was so angry and hurt.

I've read a lot of hate for GY on here with these recent episodes and I don't get it. We see what LDW is thinking and planning but GY doesn't. All she sees and hears is LDW pushing her away and not explaining anything. 🤷

As Dr. Shen pointed out to LDW, he should have been direct and honest with her.

It's in Chinese but it's readable with Google translate. It's available on Douban read but they charge for the later chapters. It's free at 52 Library but Google translate does not do a great job as some words are broken up and the pronouns get switched a LOT making it kind of confusing at times but still pretty readable.

The way the drama is edited kind of matches how the novel transitions from chapter to chapter, some are continuous and other are abrupt changes.

Well she is the comic relief and extrovert of this drama . LDW is the emotionless robot for now but he does have some witty dialogue though.

I agree. I"m amazed with how closely they've followed the novel.

She may joke about him but she defends him every time and won't let anyone badmouth him even when he's hurt her and she's drowning her sorrow with alcohol. She may be frustrated with him but the bottom line is she loves him.

I LOVE those two, they have a tacit understanding of each other. YD being able to decipher and translate her toothless questions at the dentist's office was perfect.

No, the tooth was painted black and CGI was added to make it look more realistic. Gotta say it was pretty convincing. LOL
