Am not a fan of jisoo anyway But her part also gave life 😌 to this movie I don't know whether she is popular…
but at least the guy ur fan of, isn't openly being shaded by the Film's director on interviews. I have seen a lot of Jisoo fan boycott this film, I just can't wrap around the idea of supporting a film that insult an actor I like

Yeah that's usually what happens if u insult their country and the person. You know fight fire with fire. When in his mind he didn't do anything wrong, and you came and replied with an aggressive tone, looking to fight

You can't really expect a proper reply when the first thing u do is be aggressive, shading their country and calling them shameless. Calm down nxt time

You definitely need to stop with this type of insult. "Who is the creator of bot Gogoallaout? Tell that creator they created a defective bot and please take some inspiration from Chatgpt. My respect has gone up for Chatgpt. How incredibly it understand me!!" -NewStar....He is calling you a bot since you have been talking shit with him on your previous comments and he is NOT saying you're using ChatGPT as a source ( especially if the context is that he wrote Novel and meant Movie, your reply just doesn't make sense since 1. You're insulting his country & 2. You're also calling him names and insulting him). What he is implying is that "Your creator" should improve the "bot" by taking a look at how good ChatGPT is. You really need to chill, my man and re-read everything, cuz either u just run with ur emotions and write the first thing u think or u have a harder time comprhending what's being said as english is ur second-language. Either way you need to compose yourself before writing these type of comments

Ok let's be chill here, I think this beef between you two is one big misunderstanding. I believe Newstar is implying in his first comment that the MOVIE didn't create any buzz in India ( he might be using "Novel" as a stand-in) since he insinuated that even actor fans are boycotting it there. Furthermore, since the Vedas, which is the Indian Pantheon, are often portrayed as an enemy, India, being a religious country, would not like this and might be banned. Also, there is no need to criticize the country's English skills when it's the country with the most English speakers, besides the US.

Anyone who didn't read the original material and went into the movie knowing nothing, who has some impression…
i'll just copy one of ny replies here

"Its really weird, idk if they made the film with the assumption that most have read the novel since a lot of details are glossed over (the world, power system, character relationship), so if your a viewer who hasn't read the novel and did not pay that much attention plot becomes complicated and visual/cinematography didn't feel like it was done with a $21 million budget ( this is according to the people I went with who has no idea about the novel)"

I have a genuine question. Why are Jisoo fans supporting this film?? Like I see at least two of ya'll is a fan of Jisoo, die hard defend this film. Isn't it like a huge deal to the fandom that the director is using/casted Jisoo for her popularity, and went on interviews shading her acting? If a director would say that to an actor I like, I sure would be one of the people who hates the movie. This is what's baffles me, I still see a lot of people give this film at least an 8/10 saying something like "Love this film, Jisoo made sure to crush that 5 minute screentime" (which isn't a proper critic, if ur reason u like the film is cuz the actor is part of it, u don't really like the film u like the actor). I listen to kpop but not part of any fandom, but is this normal behaviour/mentality for a kpop fan? support anything even though multiple reason says ur idol has been "mistreated".

idk where ur getting ur info but it already dropped to 5th with only 30k admissions
i mean, not saying you can't watch it since I also watched it myself but if your checking naver then you should have the latest update, it was #3 on 30th and fell down to #5 on 31st (which the info was released like 12 hrs before your first comment here). It got back to #3 today (aug 1st) but still hovering around 34k admissions

You need to check the reviewers' profile. When I checked on the first day of screening, I noticed most of the…
Idk about historical significance but if we are talking about webnovels. ORV is essentially to Korea what One Piece manga is to Japan (idk if ur familiar with that series). It has maintained the no.1 spot for years and even received an award for Ministers of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It's popular domestically that chances are, if u ask a korean who reads webnovel, they've mostly likely already read ORV or at least have heard of it. I watched the film, its bad but if have nothing else to do, its a decent time waster movie

Well good (?) newd for you. The reviews from critics who were part of early reviews pretty much hvae the same…
oh yeah, some plot changes are abysmal to the point that they significantly affect future development of characters and plot. One of the changes even left me baffled, as by introducing that single element so early on, they essentially removed an entire arc spanning at least 50 chapters. Idk how they plan to go about it in subsequent films since in this film the mc already received the "reward" from that future arc, which is one of the significant twists/plot point in that arc. This is the main reason, among other changes, why I said it's a 1/10 adaptation

Oh don't get me wrong, fans are definitely review bombing this film without even seeing the movie. But having already watched it, I don't think everything was unjustified. If you look at it as an adaptation its a 1/10 for sure... As a normal film maybe around 3-4/10 depending on how much you can piece things together as the plot can get confusing. Its really weird, idk if they made the film with the assumption that most have read the novel since a lot of details are glossed over (the world, power system, character relationship), so if your a viewer who hasn't read the novel and did not pay that much attention plot becomes complicated and visual/cinematography didn't feel like it was done with a $21 million budget ( this is according to the people I went with who has no idea about the novel)

Well good (?) newd for you. The reviews from critics who were part of early reviews pretty much hvae the same sentiment. If i were to summarize everything into one sentence "The hype did not meet it's expectation"

I had some doubt if it were really true since I had no really good way to confirm the sources but after watching the film myself, pretty much guaranteed that these reviews are real.

It's hard to gauge the actual reviews from korean netizens since most are in naver which you need a korean number to access. There's "Theqoo" and "Pannchoa" which are public forums you can access but its a cesspool imo. The box office can kinda gives us a general idea that the word of mouth reception for the film is not great, as it is continuing to decline in number which are now in the low 50k viewership a day even with the coupon from the goverment which is about a 40%-60% discount.

congrats its at about 7-8% of the gross to break-even and probably at 5-6% if we include the marketing budget…

Ey let me have fun. It just takes me a minute at most to write these "essays". You might wann reevaluate the meaning fo the words you use. Milestone, yes. Succes on the otherhand.... its the opposite of what happening though. "modest success" indicate that it still doing well that it can at least break-even, but it can't even do that. For the record breaking part... you sure no one, really? cuz i see at least two here commenting how "record-breaking" the numbers are.

Edit: Oh w8 ur actually one of the people commenting its "breaking record". What an irony, so now there's at least 3 people.

w8 you mean the kpop fandom.. the same fandom who constantly send death threats online? The same fandom who caused multiple idols to suicide cuz of cyberbullying? The same fandom who is infamous for stalking their their idols and going into their dorms/hotels/house? The same fandom who caused idols to make a letter or video of themselves apologizing because they did something a normal person would do? Yeah review bombing is TOTALLY more toxic

mate its clearly a sarcastic. Its making fun of u guys for making such a big deal out of 180k viewership. Why are you so pressed as if its a jab against ur country's filmmaking when its just making fun of you guys for raving about the numbers as if its good
