After watching the preview for episode 23, I finally understand why Xigua doesn’t stay with her father or keeps little contact with him — and why Xigua’s grandmother doesn’t care about her own son. I’m glad the truth has finally come to light, and that the so-called ‘daughter’ of Xigua’s father is going to get the lesson she deserves.

Ep 19 was released today.

Yeah!! That’s what makes me want to keep watching.
Episode 22 is going to be epic.

I saw a spoiler video on Instagram, but it didn’t have subtitles. From what I understood, she introduced herself as Mr. Nie Cheng Yuan’s daughter to Yusen’s friend and to others as well. So I think the god-daughter basically used Xigua’s identity, since people only know that Mr. Nie has one daughter and don’t know that his first love’s daughter is actually his god-daughter. In that sense, both the god-daughter and Xigua’s father are at fault. In the video, Xigua also blamed her father.

Yeah, he already chose them over his wife and daughter in the first place. And if even after all this he still can’t stand by his daughter’s side, then I don’t think he has any right to lecture Xigua about her relationship with Yusen

But she did pretend to be Xigua and invited Yusen on a blind date. And I heard from novel readers that because of this, Xigua will end up having a fight with her father.

My blood boiled when Xigua’s father told her to cut ties with Yusen. Like, seriously — you can’t even handle your ‘white moonlight’ and her daughter, you can’t deal with your god-daughter running around using your biological daughter’s name, and yet you’re lecturing Xigua? I also heard from novel readers that Xigua is going to confront her father, and I think it will happen after episode 22, when she finds out what that mistress’s daughter did.

HS , I don't care about her father. What matters is that both Yusen and Xigua believe each other.
Xigua's father is a jerk. This type of characters are plenty there in vertical c-dramas. MLs who can't forget their white moonlight.

Was this also the reason why Xigua's mom divorced her father? I believe it'd totally her father's fault!
So other than causing "that kind of problem" they doesn't cause any other problem from her right?

Ohh!! Also I want to Xigua does really have a mistress as Xigua mom and aunt says or he is just friends with her (old crush) as he said to Xigua? And does they create any type of problems for Xigua?
