Yes, not sure why some people can’t see why Ep. 23 was needed. I love WIFTY but personally prefer TFF over HL…
Haha… yes, it’s quite normal once you get out in a “real world”. Hope they are doing well! 🥰

one thing I quite enjoy about Cdramas is that bc of the government not wanting its ppl to be too materialistic…
That’s very true. C-dramas are slightly better than K-dramas at this aspect but their outfits weren’t bought on Temu either :)
Dilraba’s outfits in You Are My Glory weren’t all flashy and but they were $$-$$$ 😁

Not me squealing when she came to pick him up at the train station, and they weren't even dating yet by then
Their “non-dating” era was more dating-like than in most other dramas. It was more like casual dating that transitioned into dating with intent on marriage 🥰

Right, I think HL is great for women, especially those who are like you (have older brothers). But as a guy, I’m not sure I can relate (maybe because my friends were also single children and had no younger siblings, lol).

Which episode and roughly which parts of the episode where Xi Guang finds out about the identity switch please?I…
The secret is out in Ep. 22. You don’t need to skip their scenesr because they are so few. And, actually, the scene in Ep. 23 (after FL’s dad leaves their house) is very important in establishing the backstory of the mistress, what happened to her husband, why she made certain decisions, etc.

SML less episodes is a win win. I hope we don't have to see him ever again.
I suspect we’ll see him again but maybe he will change for the better under the strong guidance from Chris, lol

HL was definitely more chill than TFF. But I wasn’t super comfortable with the age gap (which was actually 7-8 years in the novel) — specifically bexause they met when FL was so young. But HL is probably the author’s most favorite novel because there ar multiple sequels that go further into their story.

He was throwing so many hints at her, but she was completely oblivious! 🤣
It was funny when he complained to his friend (bride) that he wishes she were more suspicious and realized the bride didn’t invite her, lol

I love WIFTY but personally prefer TFF over HL (all three from the same author ✍️). But I’m not exactly the right demographic for HL, lol

Just wanted to confirm that FL's father didn't remarry, he's just living with the other woman, right?
They aren’t married and don’t even live together. It’s not even clear if they have a romantic relationship — he just supports her & her daughter financially.

Me too. I love slow burn dramas. Fireworks of my heart, One and only, Moonlight, South Wind Knows, Sweet teeth,…
I like your list but Fireworks of My Heart is more of an action drama. There are constant rescues and constant drama with FL’s family.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I love slow burns. It keeps me invested in the drama + makes the whole romance…
To be honest, this drama isn’t even very slow-burn’ish. Amongst a Snowstorm of Love or Love Me Love My Voice are more slow burn

OMG — Xigua’s dad is honestly such a trash character.
He’s way too arrogant and self absorbed. His company isn’t gong to end well if this continues.

Don’t try to understand JerkXu. Some things will be explained in a later episode but he’s still not a green flag character.

Episode 23, Nie Chengyuan is full of himself. That woman and her daughter are using him, and he’s too caught…
What’s even more hilarious is FL’s dad blaming this incident for ML ruining some projects for him. Whereas ML was simply just trying to make best decisions for the company 😬

To be honest, I feel like they’ve BEEEEN dating just without the kissing and intimacy.
Yes, it was an unofficial dating era, lol. Their families even met and they took a vacation together 🤣

I have to disagree with the thought that ep 23 is a mere filler. It was necessary to show the fallout of them…
100% agree!
