Maybe it’s mentioned in the novel but for now there’s no indication that FL’s family owns any shares in ML’s family company. It’s a huge company, though, so any percentage would be tiny. And people who run ML’s company kind of look down on FL’s company (it was mentioned during a meeting early own) because it’s “new money”.

Sheng__ is a huge company owned by ML’s extended family. Yang__ is a company owned by FL’s family. And SY company where ML & FL work is a joint venture between their families’ two companies — ML’s side owns 51% and FL’s side owns 49%. But since ML’s not a direct heir, he won’t inherit Sheng company while FL will inherit Yang company. That’s why ML calls FL as his future boss… Well that and the fact she’ll be his wife (meaning, his boss too).

To be fair to them, even their dorm is company-owned, so dorm = work and office = work. But that was a funny scene nonetheless :)

When a drama/novel is written by a high quality writer, it’s important to pay attention because there are many nuances or hints thrown around (like there’s already enough info to guess the mystery behind the misunderstanding). But so many dramas are overly long with not much happening, that many people watch them in background and don’t pay a lot of attention.

I think FL starts work in September because they have a discussion about that with her work roommates — they were a bit jealous she got to start late instead of coming to work immediately.

And totally agree about car registration stickers. I think now they are showing 2013 because registrations will expire in the future :)

Yes, it’d be great to have more of ML in the first four episodes but they were important to establish the backstory and start the plot rolling.

P.S. I’m happy to answer questions but I’m not sure why some people think the accident in Ep. 1 was in pr went day and after that we went back in the past. This is not a very complicated drama to follow — not like, say, Mobius 😬
