Ep. 23 wasn’t a filler. It served a dual purpose: to show us how the leads met (and how great FL was even 2 years ago) and to demonstrate ML researching solar power opportunities which will probably play a major role going forward.

Maybe you are like me and a bit burned out from year-end work and all the holiday preparations :) Actually, when ML & FL go to Shanghai and begin their fake-dating, it’s pretty interesting — fun shopping excursion, attending ML’s friend’s wedding and attending FL’s friend’s wedding (this is ep. 10-12, I believe). What you mention about SnakeRong (her official nickname here) is actually a great scene that shows strong backbone of our FL: SnakeRong tries to belittle FL (and ML) because they work in a town outside of Shanghai and for some factory 🏭 not a supposedly cool job like being an assistant to one of Sheng family members. That’s when our FL politely (but firmly) reminds SnakeRong that she (FL) is the heiress of a large company, has great connections and could have easily gotten whatever position she wanted. Afyer that, FL rejects JerkXu (2ML) and ends her crush on him. Ending a first crush is painful so she understandably cries a bit before ML arrives. Anyway, soon ML&FL will take their relationship to a next level and you can look forward to a ski vacation :)

Glass bathroom walls are pretty common in newer hotels that want to seem modern/hip. Instead of a fancy opaque technology that other mention below, most hotels solve it by having shades that go up/down.
