We don’t know for sure. There have been strong hints that FL found out about the plot between The Princess and The Masked Man (and maybe even identity of The Masked Man). And she likely refused to go along with the plan which is why The Prince was forced to shoot her in the beginning.

Very logical thinking. Not that it matters a lot , but one would think The Prince could overthrow his brother if all that person does is hedonistic pursuits. But not losing any sleep over this for now — there are a lot of episodes left so things are boing to get even more interesting & complicated.

At least, Emperor isn’t trying to make the young brother as his successor.

Do we think it’s the masked person or his brother that poisoned him? 🤔

They’ve hinted pretty strongly about the romance between the doctor and him, so that’s probably going to be the third pair, assuming The Prince & The Princess are second pair (even though I’d prefer The Princess to find someone else).

Maybe in the upcoming episodes we will see where his loyalties are — FL or the bad people. Hopefully, he comes over to FL’s side so the doctor & him can start a relationship ☺️

She’s slowly getting memory back piece by piece but also sometimes doesn’t say she remembered something — this helps her investigation into who tried to kill her. But through 12 episodes the plot is moving pretty rapidly and she has remembered some important things ;)

My guess is that FL was against whatever plan/conspiracy The Prince is involved in and that is why she shot & wounded ML before his army entered the city. That meant his army didn’t fall into the trap set for them (mentioned in some episodes). And afterwards she was confronted by The Prince (and maybe more people) and was shot.

Does anyone else think that it will turn out FL shot ML like that on purpose at the very beginning? ⬇️

2ML was such an awful character (obviously, on purpose), everyone would’ve cheered if 2FL disposed of him as she did with her first husband *cough* 🔥 🔥 🔥 *cough*

I like ZYQ (well, all four leads are great actors/actresses), so was delighted she managed to survive :) And I consider it canon that she hired the deranged guy who killed 2FL… I don’t think even Miles Wei cried any tears about his fate, lol 😆

Haha… at least, she’s not the one who put a hit on the FL. It was almost hilarious how much 2FL in Flourished Peony tried to kill FL even though FL wanted nothing to do with 2FL’s husband

On a scale of annoying drama characters, she’s relatively harmless. I’m way more annoyed at secondary characters who are hopelessly in love with ML/FL and keep getting in a way of a lead pair.
P.S. If I were The Princess, I’d try to get ML to marry FL quickly, so The Prince would forget about FL 🤣

I feel like what’s going on with The Princess could happen (and does happen in the real world). She’s inexperienced, naive, meets a guy who’s nice to her, has a crush, and thinks that marrying him is a best option out of the limited options someone like her has. It’s not like she can date & marry freely — she’d likely to be in an arranged marriage anyway. So in her mind marrying The Prince could not only help the country (she does something good) but also she can be with the person she fancies.
Not saying she’s correct but this is kind of realistic.

Even after the wedding, there will be screen time dedicated to that couple. Maybe even more so because ML will have to find ways to protect his sister and/or deal with the drama around the The
Prince.

When Destiny Brings the Demon is also a great C-drama from this year but the genre is different.

To be fair, the princess isn’t aware of all the drama going on.
