I feel you about the list 😳 But LMLMV is great if you just want something relaxing and calm your nerves after watching a more stressful drama. The plot is mostly about singing (and voiceover), but there’s a lot of cooking (like ML cooks for FL and for his crew) or traveling around China & eating local delicacies. Watch the first 1-2 episodes and you will get the idea :) The same author wrote “Amidst a Snowstorm of Love” which is sports-themed drama (about billiards 🎱) which is also slow-burn and relatively free of anxiety. A lot of it was shot on location in Finland 🇫🇮 during wintertime, so there’s a LOT of real snow and it’s my go-to drama for winter vibes. The same author also wrote “Road Home”, but it’s not as good as LMLMV or AaSoL (slow-burn, but a bit boring; like a much less exciting version of Fireworks of My Heart).

Have you watched “Love Me, Love My Voice”? Probbaly half of that drama is dedicated to cooking and eating a wide variety of delicious Chinese food. It’s also a great drama overall — very chill without needless drama and tired tropes. Very good soundtrack too because the other half of the drama is about singing & voiceover work.

Disney+ in the US only has episodes 1-19 yet (more will come September 7, but don’t know how many). So I’m trying not to rush it — on episode 14 yet. Definitely less makeout scenes compared to this drama even though the author is the same 😁

There are so many rumors 🍉floating around, I try to not get excited until a release has been confirmed. I’m currently waiting for Hidden Shadow (with Wang Chu Ran), so I know the feeling.
I see ppl seem to have seen the video theorising the ending and is confused by how SMJ remembers, has always been…
Because of government rules, creators had to make it seem like it was all a dream and couldn’t come out and say directly it was a fourth lifetime for the leads. But they threw enough hints throughout the series and at the end, that most fans will probably think it’s a 4th lifetime and not a wild dream.
People are trying to stay afloat after finishing this drama, which was beloved by so many of us.The question came…
All of those dates have not been confirmed yet, to the best of my knowledge (just checked pages for all three dramas to make sure). But let’s hope we see something good soon. I’m still watching Moonlit Reunion because Disney+ is behind (in the U.S.).
I made a grave error of watching it ongoing 😳🥺. It was one of the dramas that made be go back and re-watch Are You the One. That’s one of my go-to dramas to re-watch whenever my confidence in C/K-dramas gets shattered by very questionable screenwriting or storytelling.
This year there was an unexpected/disappointing ending to The Demon Hunter’s Romance (allegedly, due to iQIYI request). But the worst unexpected ending I can recall is A Beautiful Lie (2024). The cast was quite lovely and it was a pretty good drama until the last 2-3 episodes where all the wheels flew off and things went completely downhill. I think they were trying to be clever and trying to do an open ending but it turned out to be garbage (and rankings tanked to 6.4) 😈👿🥺
They purposefully made a bunch of callbacks. There were also flowers on the trees in the lobby and a snake painting…
The resort name and boss’s name were already noticed by someone in episode 1. But the thing about fourth lifetime could also be plausible — screenwriters could never acknowledge it due to censorship rules (it had to be a dream/not real), but they are throwing a lot of hints.
OMG, just read your review of Bright Eyes. I don’t know if I could handle that ending. Maybe I will stay faithful to Fireworks of My Heart and keep rewatching that one (while skipping scenes with stepbrother and stepmom, lol).
