How was the novel? I mean what is the biggest difference here?
From what others posted, the biggest difference is ML character. He wasn’t as good in the novel — he was a real womanizer and was involved in other relationship(s) even after marriage to FL. Oh, and — as usual with books — FL & ML slept together immediately when she got to his place. And FL in the book got injuried/poisoned before the competition, so she couldn’t even compet again ML. So, basically, lots of changes :)
😓Not gonna happened in such full length XianXia. They want the viewers to be hooked longer and deeper🫢.
Or they can do it like The Immortal Ascension where there was practically no romance and comments section had to explain to newcomers that MDL added “Romance” tag in error 🙄😬
Yup, might as well confess fully because ML actually respects her real identity. But, hey, this adds another 5-10…
All valid points. I’m not mad about this decision (unlike many choices in other dramas), but I guess I was really thinking the truth would come out based on the previous episode. Meaning, I kind of thought ML already figured out who she was based on all the previous things that had happened. But I can see why he would not be sure because everyone is always lying so it’s strange to envision that bad people would be telling the truth 🙄

Haha, so true! Although it’s nice when a drama has heroes get together early on like in “When Destiny Brings the Demon”. The leaves more time for, ahem, “dual cultivation” 🫣😉
Call me a conspiracy theorist but I think some *hardcore* Cdrama fans downvote Kdramas using their multiple accounts.…
I don’t know if it’s necessary C- versus K-drama fans (personally, I find C drama ratings to be lower compared to K dramas on MDL), but there are definitely many examples of organized down or up voting that’s done on MDL, especially on C-dramas. Groups of anti-fans/haters attack drama(s) of an actor/actress they don’t like or simply to downvote a drama that’s being released at the same time as a drama from their idol. All of this is kind of silly because MDL ratings don’t count for anything important when it comes to how Korean or Chinese companies evaluate their performance.

Yes! I find The First Frost to be better for me (as an older person) compared to Hidden Love. And WIFTY is the best high school drama I’ve seen so far 🥰

I watch dramas from different countries (not just C or K) and “When I Fly Towards You” is the best high school drama I’ve seen, so I’m not surprised by its rating (it’s also from the author of “Hidden Love” and “The First Frost”). “Hidden Love” is immensely popular (book has multiple sequels and The First Frost was a spin-off), it’s not for everyone but the target demographic loves it (I personally like HL slightly less than WIFTY and TFF).
uhm.. you mean the ex, Woo-ju? if yes, they weren’t asking her to come back these rude creatures were actually…
I think the OP was predicting that eventually they will ask FL to come back once they find out she has a great house and when her ex’s new fling leaves him or something like that.
And, yes, this better have a happy ending!
