I like him as a character, not necessarily as a person. His motivations and actions make perfect sense for the…
I agree with you generally. I like the actor so I’d preferred him to be more of a good person. And maybe this is one of the differences between long C-dramas and shorter K-dramas: here they are giving us mixed signals about him, but also I don’t see how they could magically turn around in remaining episodes and set him up with 2FL. Watching episode 8 I even had a thought that maybe it’d be better for ML to go back to 2FL and for FL to be with 2ML… and I’m pretty sure ML & FL won’t be able to work in the same department anymore. You don’t need to be an auditor to know that having a romantic relationship with your superior is frowned upon.
NO ONE dies falling off a cliff in a c-drama... Esp not in ep 15 out of 37....
There’s a modern Thai drama where people fell off a huge cliff in a car multiple times and have survived (2 times for ML and 1 for FL, IIRC) and I’m only halfway through that drama, lol… All drama cliffs must have wind blowing from below like in video games, so you can float to safety 😁
Great fights scenes, superb cast, the story and writing is very slow and uninteresting. Im fast forwarding half…
The best way to think about this drama is it’s adventures of Batman & Batgirl but with a Hideo Kojima-like amount of dialogue. ZZ is a famous character in folklore/legends and he doesn’t kill but wants to see criminals tried for their crimes (just like Batman). So, naturally, he ends up with the same issues — bad people keep coming back and causing havoc.
it's not that bad that its rating is 7.9 it deserves above 8.3 atleast
MDL ratings usually are low initially due to waves of haters, like YY probably has. After awhile it will start to get better, especially as more people finish the drama. For example, I don’t rate the drama until it’s completely done.
Agree with you, but I watched his Who Rules The World with Zhao Lusi. It's a great historical drama with amazing…
Agree on FoMH and YAMG. TIA isn’t for everyone because there’s practically no romance, it’s like a role-pkaying game (cultivation) and — deep down — it’s an allegory about corporate world & workplace. After 4-5 episodes when events really start to unfold, it gets really good. But it’s based on two very, very long novels so it’d take 9-10 seasons to cover them fully. Even animated version (donghua) is maybe 1/4 of the way through the story yet.
Just found out this series is airing. As a fan of Justice Bao, of course I must not miss Zhan Zhao adventures!…
So far no Justice Bao; not going to spoil anything else :)
The Immortal Ascension was a really good drama (especially after 4-5 episodes when events truly start to unfold), but it’s purely a cultivation drama with magic & spells unlike martial arts here. So TIA is like an RPG video game while this drama is a bit like adventures of Batman & Batgril (and a lot, a lot of dialogue) 😁
yeah I agree sml has a different mindset at this point , on which world he came from I don't know😂
I’m not sure why drama writers felt the need to overcomplicate things. They started off well by putting 2ML in arranged marriage with horrible wife and having a sick mother (hurt by his dad). So it’d have been easy enough to find a way for him to escape his marriage and circumstances to have a happy stable life with 2FL (not chaebol life but wealthy enough). Now we ended up with this weird love rectangle just for the sake of making things more dramatic 🙄
whys this rated so low? the first 6 episodes are pretty interesting so far! it’s not a romance (-heavy) drama…
Almost all dramas start off low due to low sample size (small number of reviews) and due to initial wave of bad reviews driven by antifans of one or more leads (or, for example, by fans of one of prior CPs of a lead actor/actress who don’t want to see them with a different person). Isualky it takes about 5-7 days for ratings to stabilize
Very confused why DYH doesn’t reveal her identity to ZZ even in private… or why he doesn’t recognize her. That probably confuses me even more than ZZ’s non-use of imperial token which would, ostensibly, allow him to do anything and shut down that establishment.
