So far we can only guess that Lady Du wanted to kill FL because FL was very smart and saw through all of her schemes. So FL may have prevented whatever scheme Du siblings were cooking up.

I usually read about it in the comments here and then do so searches. Usually it’s mostly nonsense (fake drama/rumors) but situation with Ju Jingyi is kind of insane. The agency forged contract extension and had been in multi year legal battles with the actress. Than they want completely nuclear and the day before Veil of Shadows premiere accused JJY of tax evasion (allegations which had been disapproven previously already).

That’s where she became very well known from and, yes, you aren’t the only one who felt that way. But a lot of the blame can be placed on the former agency of the FL (very long story), but that actress escaped her agency and was quite good in Veil of Shadows :)

It’s not explained but it’s heavily implied. As soon as we had a flashback to young FL playing with a young boy (and everything that happened after that), it was pretty clear to experienced drama watchers that the young boy is going to be ML 🙂😉

It’s a time honored tradition on MDL to downrank unaired episodes. It happens with practically every popular drama and it’s one of the reasons why scores are usually so low in the first week or so. Initially it’s mostly waves of antis/trolls/haters who leave low ratings and write bad reviews. But as more and more episodes get released, scores improve with more real people leaving reviews/ratings. “Against the Current” is a perfect recent example — it was as low as 8.0-8.1 before steadily climbing up (8.6 as of now).
