We know she’ll become his wife (that’s much is clear from the intro). But the road there will not be a magical fairytale. Even if she wanted to marry him, in order to do so as an official wife will require enormous increase in her social status. And knowing our FL, she’s going to improve her social status not because of a man but because it will improve life of her parents, herself and her friends.

Yes, ML hasn’t watched all the dramas where bad guys always find ways to kill themselves (hidden blade, poisoned tooth, etc.). But it all worked out in the end :)

Yeah, like any of us will believe that ML went to the Naval Camp just to thank the marquis 😉

Li Meng’s character gives her more room to express. Right now ZHHZ’s character is just sneaky evil and pretends to be nice & quiet. More to come I suppose.

What about PoJ? That was a previous record holder for a C-drama.

We don’t see her very often now but her acting seemed natural although it’s hard to pay attention to acting while reading subtitles. I do hope FL’s parents and her clueless best friend survive 🙏🫣

The story is so long, my guess is they show kids as babies first and then some episodes with them growing up. But who knows.

MDL should follow Tencent/Viki cast list. it has the two leads then Niu Jun Feng, Li Meng, Zheng He Hui Zi, and Guo Ke Yu.

Yes, the story is much more gripping than you’d think. Pretty much every episode is a dangerous battle for survival 🫣
