I think it's the "Tang" in their names? Idk how that is the maid's fault tho 😭
They just wanted to show up that servants are so powerless, even their names are out of their control.

That could also be true, maybe 47 like this drama. I really enjoyed first season and it was a bit frustrating watching second season & seeing the heroes mired in endless misunderstandings and trading places in prison 🙄 But the cast was great, sets were awesome and it gave us one of the most despicable villains ever (played by good guy Miles).

They finally lifted the 40 episodes limit that started 6 years ago…this could be a good thing so writing can…
There are som dramas where having more episodes would help but I would argue there are far more dramas where having more episodes hurts because writers have to pad episode count with manufactured drama, tired tropes, breakups for no reason, etc. A great recent example is Flourished Peony / In the Name of Blossom. They gave us two seasons with 56 episodes combined but they could have easily fit everything into one 40-episode season because majority of season 2’s first 14-15 episodes was just trope after trope after trope 🙄🥺

Xiao Lian is such an innocent & wonderful person. If something happens to her, I don’t know if I could handle it 🫣🥺😥

How dare the writer/directors make this a romance drama where the female lead will end up with the male lead and…
Are people seriously complaining about that? 🫣

During Ming dynasty, if a legitimate wife of a nobleman has no children by age 25, two concubines can be selected,…
Thank you for the historical context! 🤓

I knowww. make it make sense 😭 I feel like they just had to work in the cliche breakup as if they can’t make…
I don’t know what’s dumber — breakup here or in Legend of the Female General. Both are completely unnecessary.

This is based on an older movie and I think those plot points were taken from that movie. But they didn’t have…
Even less reason to put it here. It worked in Queen of Tears because, well, that screenwriter is great & has won way too many awards to count. But here it was completely unnecessary.

Very true. That’s why I was so pleasantly surprised by “Our Sticky Love” where second half is probably stronger…
The trailer looks really nice!

Title Guardians of the Dafeng Spoiler
hearing lots that ended in cliffhanger.can any one spoil me please, what kind of cliffhanger and ML ,FL ended together…
To add to what the other person wrote, this is based on a long novel and drama only covers part of the story. The ending always implied there would be a second season (which hopefully will start shooting next year) so the ending is Open Ending. This is not a romance drama (very little time spent on that) so the ending was a reveal of an identity of the big bad guy.

This drama has excellent early episodes and then gets a bit less exciting (more of like a typical drama), so if you have other dramas you can watch, I’d wait until season 2 is about to be released and watch this one right before that.

Already finished this but still confused which one is the big villain amongst the bad guys?Is it Emperor all along…
The Hooded Man is presented as the ultimate villain, in my opinion. And then other leaders (like The Emperor or his brother) are also presented as power hungry people.

It was fine. Ya'll are harsh, damn.
It’s not a bad show (I gave it 8/10 but I almost never give half star ratings so it’s 7/8/9/10). Butbit definitely could’ve been if they second half was more interesting.

Title Spooky in Love Spoiler
and the worst part was that awful scene where fl was in heaven greeting everyone she helped like what the helly
That part was at least logical — those people helped her recover and awaken from a coma. But most definitely screenwriters dropped the ball in the second half by making it all about corporate drama 🤨🙄

A writer when he's run out of ideas. Hmm, let's add some chaebol makjang shit.
This is based on an older movie and I think those plot points were taken from that movie. But they didn’t have to do that — they could’ve just continued a chain of investigations which would have ultimately led to discovery of what happened on the yacht.

what's with kdramas these days with their floppy second half I'm tired 😩 😤😩
Very true. That’s why I was so pleasantly surprised by “Our Sticky Love” where second half is probably stronger than the first half. Beginning is more like a cozy village / romcom but then the show becomes deeper and becomes more of an action drama with a bit of The K2 vibe.

I LOVED the early episodes but once they stopped helping ghosts and changed the plot to corporate fights I lost…
You only have the good parts left, so finish it up and mark it watched :) Be sure to watch the credits because there are a lot of funny behind the scenes / outtakes. Arguably, those outtakes were more entertaining than corporate warfare episodes 🤣
