I wanted to see comments before starting because I was waiting for it desperately but the comments really demotivated…
Many comments are full of nonsense that spread from troll/hater accounts and influenced more established accounts. This is a very high profile drama so there’s always noise/hate comments. Do yourself a favor and watch episodes 1-5 on your own before deciding what to do. This drama is based on a novel from a very well known author but it’s a Republic era drama so the author out in a lot of twists & turns to fit the turbulent time period.
I hate horror or anything ghost, are the ghosts here tolerable? Jumpscare? I love this two leads but I hate scary…
I agree with others. The tone is more comedic so I wouldn’t say it’s scary. Even the ghosts of killed people appear as their normal selves not as some kind of mutilated corpse 🧟 For now, ghosts/spirits are more annoying to FL than scary.
ML's grandmother seems wealthy/influential from her dressing and aides. His casual demeanor as well to rich/impt…
Maybe it will turn out that both grandmas know each other and that the leads are fated for each other but ML’s grandma is trying to prevent it for some reason and that’s why she’s so against girls born in that particular year.
They met by coincidence 100 times in just two days. They even ended up booking the same hotel room in a different…
They dis NOT meant by coincidence except once (when bad people bumped into FL’s car). Orher times they met because both of them were investigating the same case.
I didn’t know the intro was AI 🤖 and thought it was very well done & inventive. But if people choose…
AI use is everywhere so it’s pointless to complain about its use to create the into. Netflix just purchased Ben Affleck’s AI company for $587 million dollars to help with creation of Netflix shows. In South Korea they are creating full blown AI movies and releasing them in theaters. Not to mention that all South Korean companies are scrambling to implement AI tools to cut down on production costs. This is a great article — https://www.cnn.com/world/south-korea-film-industry-ai-hnk-spcNote: I’m not saying this is a welcome development. Just that it’s a quixotic task. Best to just enjoy the drama (or skip it if you don’t like it).
I came to the comment section just to get a glimpse of everyone's first impressions of the drama... but after…
Same, same. Until I learned the intro was AI I actually thought it was very good and even commented here how much I liked it. There may be some real comments from veteran accounts but you will also see many comments from new accounts with no history. So this could be something that was a genuine concern and got amplified by trolls/haters.
For me it started out a bit boring, because I’m used to every republican drama starts with a bang, but i dragged…
This is my first proper Republic era drama and I didn’t find episode 1 boring at all. Just the opposite, the amount of things we learn is crazy high — ML’s background, clan wars, family dynamics of multiple families, FL’s scheming, baby switching, and so on. Not to mention the twist at the end of the first episode. That’s enough content for 5-10 episodes of a typical C-drama 🤣
The funniest part isn't even the AI intro anymore, it's the people defending it."Just skip it.""It's…
I didn’t know the intro was AI 🤖 and thought it was very well done & inventive. But if people choose to focus on the intro instead of the drama itself, so be it 🤷♂️
It’s based on a novel from one of the most prominent writers
Yes, if you aren’t a super fan of the leads, it may be safer to wait until the end. I don’t really like dramas with sad/tragic endings but only watching this because of Wang Chu Ran… and, honestly, have to watch this as it airs because if it was a super sad ending, I’d have a hard time bringing myself to watch it 😳🥺🫣
