I love TES but we also need dramas like this one to make us laugh and not stress out (well, mostly not stress out).

I definitely should’ve watched ep. 20 TES first and then watched new episodes of this drama after that. TES is too real 😭🥺😥

This is definitely one of those dramas where I prefer to stay away from comments page. Not only because spoilers but also because it’s a lot more thoughtful and real — it’s better to experience it and make our own decisions without any noise.

TIA will also have a side-story animated movie (this year maybe?) for events very briefly mentioned in the book but not covered in any detail.

At least we know there will be season 2 of TIA. But C-drama industry is definitely not well equipped for making multi-season high budget dramas 🙄😣😞

I’m still catching up but in episodes 20-22 I can’t understand why ML didn’t ask FL to simply stash her piece of the sword somewhere; that’d have allowed her to come to him. Very baffling logic 🙄🤨🧐

We actually got lucky with this drama — Netflix & YOUKU SVIP (“TVOD”) has 19 episodes; YOUKU VIP has 18 episodes as of now.

Yes, Netflix/Viki/Amazon/Disney+ usually follow VIP schedule not SVIP or Express. And sometimes (actually, quite often) they are even behind VIP schedule (a few days but sometimes longer like a week). Depends on a contract they signed.

I didn’t read the book or the comments page so I didn’t know that until I saw the preview.

“Express” package on Chinese platforms is when they charge an additional fee to watch the last 4-5 episodes early (all at once). It happens with most but not all dramas.

I generally agree with you but let’s be honest — those companies look for any reason to get money from us. I’m sure Netflix/Viki/Amazon/Dinsey+ will say something like “we are just putting our viewers on the same footing as viewers of native Chinese platforms and offering SVIP/express to avoid you have to subscribe to Tencent/Youku/iQIYI/Mango” 😉
