To be fair, C-dramas are generally slow paced too. But this is a rare drama that actually explores relationship long-term (it starts off by FL mentioning their six-year relationship). Usually dramas don’t try to tackle this messy relationship stuff and just end when leads get together or kiss 🤣

Yes, I think you put it very well. This drama’s strength is in how imperfect & “real” the characters are (which is something I also loved about Fake It Till You Make It). And the leads not being able to date publicly is not helping them either. Not that it’d be easy to date publicly because of their status in the workplace — like there’s no perfect solution to this. I’m mostly staying away from comments section to avoid spoilers but really curious how this dilemma is going to be solved.

Their relationship is so secret, even her best friend didn’t know she has been dating someone for four years. That’s why FL talked about potentially making relationship public so things like this could be avoided.

I liked “Our Sticky Love” better than “Love Next Door”, but I can’t guarantee the same for you because everyone likes different things. But the interesting things about OSL is that a major plot point is why the FL lost her memory & bad people looking for her, so that provides real stakes. It’s not just someone who lost her memory and then 12-16 episodes of romance.

Fairy 🧚 will probably be most like FL (and that character gets second billing)

She is probably the second most important character (after the main guy), so I’m sure her screentime will increase :)

Yes, no romance here (might be a small bit in the future) if the drama follows donghua/book. This is like The Immortal Ascension but way less serious and funnier.

Donghua is a harem. But this will be more like The Immortal Ascension. There may be a single romantic interest here but how much romance we will have is unknown (we’ve seen that character only briefly for now). Having said that, Ai Mi is really good here and makes a fun chaotic duo with the lead.
