Yes, it’s to get justice for her family for sure, but she’s very undercover somehow becoming a top disciple in a span of a year (?) or so. I think after the first meeting he realizes it’s her but it didn’t seem like he recognized her the first time when she almost killed him. Poor guy, lol 😆

Let’s hope there’s enough story here for all 42 episodes and this doesn’t become another Flourished Peony/In the Name of Blossom situation where in season 2 we had a bunch of trope-y filler episodes 🙏

It’s pretty obvious the drink was spiked and the fire was set intentionally by someone. Probably someone from outside the family because it’s obvious the whole clan would have (and did) suffer for this.

My thoughts after episode 1: kicking out the person responsible for the ink making seems like a terrible idea, especially after being subjected to extra taxes. It’s probably historically realistic but still not a great decision.

No romance so far. ZZ’s canonical wife is in the drama, but we don’t know if the author followed the lore or changed it up (FL character is not part of the lore, for example).

Hopefully they will not wait until the very end to explain why DYH is masquerading as ZYS 🤔

Has anyone read the source novel? I thought it wasn’t going to have ZZ’s canon wife, but she’s here. I wonder if now there are fighting amongst Cnets about who deserves to be with ML (FL or 2FL) 😆

Thank you for fact-checking me :) I saw online claims that Fu Shize attended Jiangyi High School, but upon more careful examination it may be just fans’ imagination / building a multiverse. Which is honestly a nicer way to spend time than doing fan wars. Anyway, look forward to this drama a lot 🥰

Not likely. Traditinally Ding Yuehua is considered to be his wife. At this point in the timeline looks like they are simply engaged to each other based on references in episode 4.

It’s the book by the same author that some fans think is in the same universe as WIFTY (and, thus, connected to HL/TFF universe through this Moon drama). But it’s more like a speculation based on same last names (one of characters apparently has same last name as 2FL from WIFTY).

Someone mentioned this novel is a fanfic of sorts. But we’ll see what develops. At least in The Immortal Ascension YY’s character’s future wife was in the drama but it may be different here.

Just wanted to convey what I read in comments here before drama starting airing. Apparently he’s such a beloved/popular character, giving him a different love interest would not work according to people who know this better. But possibly FL would have a love interest — she’s an invented character, I believe.
