GJM is the director of this drama (his Chinese initials). But it’s not exactly correct to call it “GJM drama” because that applies to dramas he had written & directed (like Veil of Shadows, Fangs of Fortune, etc.). Whereas this drama isn’t his original script and has a source novel instead.
Here I see some slightly silly comments ☺️ so let me say this:If you’re watching Perfect Crown like it’s…
Yes! I think such reviews / comments are just purely a troll job or rage baiting. I’ve started to block those accounts to make my comments page more peaceful 😁
That is certainly a valid reason not to relate to an escapist romcom :) Not all dramas are for everyone and it’s…
You are welcome! Even my friends and I have different tastes, so no need to worry. As long as a person gives a reasonable explanation and doesn’t say something silly, it’s all good. For example, there was one comment here which said that IU is a bad actor and a bad singer. That person is clearly a troll 🙄
Don’t like the drama or the acting of FL or ML that’s totally okay, but why would you come in the comment…
I find some bad/hater reviews unintentionally hilarious. One of them, for example, tried to make this drama look bad by saying it’s for the same people who enjoyed “Pursuit of Jade”… which is funny because PoJ is not only a most popular 2026 C-drama yet but is also a top-rated C-drama on MDL and top C-drama on Netflix (made it to top 5 globally out of non-English shows).
Pursuit of Jade is the most popular C-drama on Netflix and is the top rated C-drama on MDL. So, it feels very strange to use it as a negative example 🙄🤣
I dropped this one for now because I can't seem to connect or relate with the characters as they do not really…
That is certainly a valid reason not to relate to an escapist romcom :) Not all dramas are for everyone and it’s okay. Have you watched “The Glamorous Night”, a 2026 C-drama? It has an average rating on MDL because it’s not a typical idol drama, but a more gritty realistic drama for more mature audiences which covers trials & tribulations of people of various means (it’s told from a point of view of multiple people, so “narrator” varies). It’s really a hidden gem. Or, if you want slightly less gritty but still realistic drama, “Fake It Till You Make It” is a great 2023 drama (only 14 episodes!) about working professionals; probably my favorite realistic romance drama although some of it deals with how people “fake it” by presenting themselves to be better/different than their true selves (kind of how people do it on social media, etc.).
