Episodes 1-6 are a bit heavier but it gets really, really good starting with ep. 7. But you have to remember this is more of a thoughtful deeper take on a high school drama. So there’s more exploration of difficulties & pressures different types of students face (not just FL & ML). Whether you like it or not, depends on you — we all like different things and thankfully they make 1000 dramas a year for all of us :)But, personally, this has a chance to be the best high school/college drama since When I Fly Towards You.

Yes, I hope this drama finishes well too! BTW, have you watched Military Prosecutor Doberman? It has practically no romance because the focus is on other things.

Honestly, it’s always safer to wait until a drama finishes airing because many dramas (especially recently) tended to start strong but fizzle in the middle or in the second half.

The committee gave her individual MVP award but thought her approach to solving the last problem wasn’t as good as the approach the other team used (and that her teammate had suggested too). That wasn’t a task that had a defined correct answer so even if you are super smart, your solution may not be as good as what someone else has. So it’s kind of plausible.

Sigh… the more I see this nonsense, the more I’m amazed that PoJ managed to maintain 9.2 almost all the way until the end (until episodes leaked). It’s so hard for a very anticipated drama to get great ratings nowadays unless it’s a sleeper hit like, say, When Destiny Brings the Demon (which was helped because Moonlit Reunion (drama form same author) was airing at the same time and distracted most haters/trolls). People need to get a life 🙄

I’m on episode 15 and, while it’s not a bad drama, I’d say 8.0 is a fair rating. There’s not much happening and there’s no tension (and I’m a fan of slowburn dramas overall). This is more of a comedy too, so we don’t feel like heroes are in danger. For example, assassins sent to kill FL are more of a joke.

Oh, no, you were very kind and nice in your comment so I wasn’t saying anything negative. Inwas thinking more about an older video when professional photographer was showing real photos & photoshopped images and many people mistook real photos for photoshopped images. So I have a feeling that oftentimes bad CGI/VFX created by humans will be called generative AI :)

It’s really hard to tell unless you are an expert. But, overall, I think we have to accept that some generative AI use is part of a production pipeline even on American shows. But there were recent articles on how AI tools are being implemented in many Korean productions to save on budgets — unlike C-drama platforms, most Korean shows air on television and don’t get the benefit of SVIP/express packages. Even Chinese entertainment industry is not in the best shape (most shows now are either big budget or very low budget) because of prevalence of micro-dramas and vertical content, a lot of which is AI generated.

White Truck of Doom needs to take a break from this show and pay a visit to ML’s abusive father in Dream to You 😈

I haven’t watched PL but here they are more like buddies working on solving criminal cases (FL sees ghosts & anonymously reports where bodies are buried and ML is a prosecutor who comes across her). But they are more like good buddies at this point (ep. 1-6). There will be romance eventually but they aren’t pursuing each other romantically. Right now trying to solve a 300-year old case :)

Every male character is required to have a Fold and every female character — a Flip. That’s pretty much how things work in K-dramas 🤣

Seems like ML’s replacement heart came from 2ML’s brother who died in the same boating accident which caused FL to have a clinical death and start seeing ghosts. That person probably died rescuing her. We’ve seen bits & pieces of that backstory throughout but I’m sure much more will be told us explicitly.

At this point ANYTHING gets called an AI or face swap, probably even real CGI and real actors. But I remember some discussions in the PoJ comments about it. I try not to worry too much about it — heck, I actually thought the original Overdo intro was very cool & creative (I didn’t know AI made it but it’s hard to tell what’s AI and what’s visual effects/CGI).
