I’m pretty sure I vented in the comments there but if they didn’t want to spend money on CGI, they could’ve still had a satisfying open-ending by someone finding a way to fix travel gizmo or locating a second one. As-is, the ending was not happy, not sad, and not really open. It was just meh 🫤. Almost everything before that was very good and writers managed to avoid a lot of tropes/cliches, so maybe we need a memory wipe to forget the last episode.

Nothing has been said so far about potential Season 2. Maybe as we get further into the story, experts will be able to figure out if this drama can fit entire novel / donghua.

This drama is literally made by the same team who is making animated version (donghua) while working with the author. Many commenters here read the novel and/or watched donghua and they never said anything about “liberties” or “fan fiction” 🤨

If this were a romance drama, he would’ve joined FL’s sect and she would’ve taught him everything 😉🥰

It gets really good starting with Episode 3. First two episodes are kind of setting up the story and hero’s beginning steps.

That’s what someone else said. But we don’t know what changes the drama will make compared to the novel and donghua. Drama comes from the same team as donghua (who are huge fans) but commenters noted that dramas usually don’t have harems (possibly due to censorship).

You Are My Glory is a very good drama that bypasses most cliches and tropes. It especially picks up after they finish Honor of Kings arc.

If they really wanted to make Internet mad, they’d have Dilraba show up at the very end and take him away from Gina. So, so many flame wars would start 🔥 🔥 🔥

It picks up with episode 3 onward. Episodes 1 & 2 were just necessary background info and setting up the story.

It was rated 8.1-8.2 for the first few days and then dramatically went down from 8.1 to 7.9 in a few hours. Could be something shady, could be MDL algorithm messing up.

Ah, they showed this in IMAX in China? I’d say it looks better on iPhone/iPad YOUKU apps compared to YouTube app on TV, at least for me.

YAMG had some really great guest stars: Gina Jin, Janice Wu and Zheng He Hui Zi (less famous but still very lovely).

This is not a typical drama — it’s very focused on the ML and his journey. So Gina’s character is not a typical FL that occupies a lot of screen time.

I’m really enjoying the show but, let’s be fair, CGI isn’t the best here. Maybe they did it on purpose but some scenes, like flying, are not very impressive.

Ah, okay. Only Dilraba & Gina were in the movie.
