Have you watched When I Fly Towards You? It’s exactly as you describe and is one of my all-time favorites (I also prefer easygoing dramas). You Are My Lover, Friend is also a very good nice drama (only a subplot with 4ML has something non-sweet).

We can only hope :) But I see you have The First Frost on your list — you can watch it first and then come back to this drama. TFF is great 👏

To be fair, both of the leads aren’t looking for romance and kind of ignored the whole 100% match on the app thing.

Overall, I’d say dramas are usually better in the beginning and then go sideways in the middle or the end due to unnecessary breakups & similar tropes.

To be fair, they haven’t revealed age gap between Ming and Qin. It could be like 8-10 years. Feng is pining for FL, but who knows how it will work out in the end

It’s not explained in first four episodes. We know for sure FL is not married in the present day based on her conversation with SFL (her wedding ring is fake).

I mentally prepared myself for there not being a good satisfying explanation why they broke up. Learned my lesson from L&P (going-to-jail reason), lol

Based on episodes 1-4, ML is far more “normal” than ML in L&P and ML & FL are pretty similar in many aspects already (so it’s not opposites attract drama). But it’s implied there will be some personal growth based on their relationship and common experiences.

They haven’t yet revealed SML’s age so we don’t know the age gap with SFL (if they end up together at all…) but I’d estimate 8-10 years. Coincidentally, the SML actor’s wife is 13 years younger than him :)

First encounter at the airport was accidental. The convenience store is the closest to their apartment building. And they bought units in that apartment building because that’s what they promised to do to each other when they got enough money. Lastly, for CrossFit challenge FL came to it on purpose because ML’s company was participating.
Their encounters during university can also be explained and, in some cases, their friends helped with that.

There was only one such encounter; rest can be explained or we’re on purpose (see spoiler below)

The university scenes are very nice but we know how things are going to end up in the present day, so I hope we get to the present day faster than in L&P :)

So far it seems this will be like L&P when, after “current time” in Episode 1, we will spend many episodes in the past.

Qin Chang (name of SML character) is SFL’s lecturer at the university (SFL is FL’s roommate & best friend). There’s another male character who is after FL in the university but he’s also a student.

This show excels when it comes to comedy and the strong overall cast is also very well suited to comedic hijinks. That is why the creators should have just made this a pure fun workplace comedy with romantic elements. The drama elements are not great here.

This drama is surprisingly deep in the topics it covers. FL is awesome 😎

This is not the worst sports drama but anyone watching it should be prepared to forget about realism & logic. For realistic short track speed skating watch Beyond (2022). This one is more like a typical idol drama full of cliches and tropes. For example, creators don’t even bother acknowledging there are distances other than 1500m — if a goal of the team is to win the most medals, why take the FL who is most suited to 500 & 1000 and try to force her into 1500? You are going from possible 3 gold medals to 1 gold.

His logic is deeply flawed but it’s basically a trope of him forcing a breakup so that she would go overseas & would not be disowned by her family. I can’t find a reasonable explanation for him simply beating up a guy in front of everyone but others claim it was because he was so angry. Honestly, those few episodes (20-23) were meh but rest of the series was very nice.
