Based on the events of Ep. 19, do we think the conclusion of season 1 will be … (spoiler ⬇️)?

Han Li’s modus operandi is probably another stratagem — “if all else fails, retreat” (Shifu Mo taught him that) 😆 But after finding the portal in Ep. 19, he is literally operating under “deceive the heavens to cross the sea” 😉

Not exactly.

Sect leaders know in general (as you mentioned) but they — just like high-level executives — aren’t aware of all the details that are happening on much, much lower levels. They don’t know if a person A is mad at person B because person B took credit for A’s work, for example.

There’s only 1 main character (Yang Yang). Evereyone else is a supporting character. YOUKU probably has to promote other people as “main” or “lead” for publicity/contractual reasons.

Nit sure I agree. Everything has been progressing pretty logically. Bad games have been scheming since the sorting hat ceremony and now it’s a full-on war.

It definitely will NOT happen in the last 11 episodes of the drama. Because Mo isn’t his first wife and his first marriage is a long time from now (donghua hasn’t gotten to that point yet and it’s been ongoing for 150 episodes, lol).

To be fair, he’s NOT feeding her pills because of romance (otherwise, he’d run out of pills — everyone’s after him). Chen keeps finding things out and knowing too much, so he’s doing it to keep himself safe and protect his secrets.

Just think of a sect as a large company and cultivatators as workers. CEO and upper level management aren’t aware of all the nitty gritty details of what’s happening. And — just like in real life — your coworkers aren’t always nice and friendly.

Donghua is still ongoing and has only covered 1/6 or 1/5 of the novels. So even after 150+ episodes it still hasn’t approached Han Li’s feeling relationship and wedding.

She’s always been pretty nice and not clingy. But she knows too much and that’s why he’s been wiping her memory.

We’ve been asking this question since the very beginning but MDL doesn’t want to change it, apparently.
