Feng Sheng and Xu Chen Xi (ML’s childhood friend) are primary “bad” characters because they want to split up ML & FL. But perhaps in the present day there will be another bad character(s).

Re #2 & 3 — trailers for episodes 9 & 10 make it obvious that Feng Sheng and Xu Chen Xi will continue trying to separate ML & FL.

Didn’t SFL offer her a painkiller 💊 which she eventually end up taking? But that’s still relatively minor compared to what can happen in a magical world of drama screenwriters :)

We don’t know what happens in the drama regarding her marriage. We know she is NOT married right now (she wears a wedding ring but not married based on first episode). If you want to know what happened in the novel, you can read some spoilers in earlier comments. But oftentimes drama writers change things around and don’t follow a novel exactly (for example, someone said that FL’s family situation with mom & dad is different in the novel).

Maybe about halfway through the show? Someone posted that half of the novel was the past. In L&P in took 2/3 to get to present day and that was long.

She seems like a new character.

It’s not listed on US Netflix yet but it is usually delayed by a few weeks.

They will do 2 episodes per day on April 10 & 11 and 1 episode per day on April 12 & 13. So SVIP will have access to 1-12 this week. Schedule for next week hasn’t been released yet.

The FL in TFF has such huge psychological trauma, it’s understandable why she behaves the way she does and — ultimately — she pursues ML. TBT is more straightforward but both shows are very good. Personally, my favorite modern adult romance C-drama is “Fake It Till You Make It” and I’d give that one (and “When I Fly Towards You” for high school romance) a slight edge over TFF and TBT.

The First Frost and The Best Thing spoiled us recently :)

Not going in ML’s car to the interview and instead taking a bus with Feng Sheng was kind of illogical. Everyone is going to the same place and she would save money on the bus fare.

I see your point. But bringing TFF into the discussion is setting expectation way, way too high for this drama :)

They added this to the drama to show why FL is so focused on earning money and why she does not want to owe anything to anyone. Is that important? I am not sure. Honestly, it’s a little annoying she can’t simply accept ML’s nice gestures (like fixing the laptop) but it’s far from the worst thing ever that writers of a C-drama had ever done, lol

The plot of this drama is completely different from The First Frost. To begin with, the TFF leads never dated in their youth unlike here.

Feng Sheng is quickly earning the title of Most Disliked Person (especially given the trailers for episodes 7 & 8)

In the novel she married the guy but almost immediately started asking for divorce (based on the snippet posted by another person). But drama writers love to change things so who knows what will happen in the drama.

ML did something that FL “cannot ever forgive him” for (in her own words, in episode 1). But we all know the drama rules and that she WILL forgive him, lol

According to the making of video (on YOUKU), the visual language will change when they go from university/early work days to the present day. Will it stop slow motion? I wouldn’t count on it, lol 😆
