C-dramas spoiled people with their rapid release schedule, lol. We should be thankful typical K-dramas get two episodes a week. That is still much better than countries with one episode per week.

They made it seem like it was Hwa Seon (same shoes, same scratch marks) but it would be too obvious. But I’d really prefer 2FL to stay good. She’s nice and deserves a happy ending too.

The Prince is a prototypical dreamy male lead (on purpose). But watch episode 7 — you will enjoy it ☺️

Feels like conflict is going to be more political. FL is head over heels in love with ML, so she will not stray. But there are unresolved issues with the king, new prince, and our ML.

Is it really a triangle if FL doesn’t want to be with the new guy? The new prince and the evil lady should just get together and leave the leads alone :)

Yes, especially considering some other dramas which have pregnancies or pregnancy scares without showing any romantic activities 🤣

In just 7 episodes, there have been more bedroom scenes (real/imagined/flashbacks/etc.) than in many 40-60 episode long dramas 😆

Does MGTV have good subtitles for Ep. 5 & 6 or should non-Chinese speakers be patient and wait for Viki? Feeling a little left out of the discussions in the comments, lol.

I think she’s adopted and she has a terrible childhood or something along those lines. There definitely was something in Season 1 that tried to explain that.

Thanks! Added it to my list. Low budget is not a problem as long as the story is good. Heck, I’ve watched a few dramas from Philippines recently and budget of P-dramas might be less than costume budget on, say, The Prisoner of Beauty 😆

I remember her from “Mr. Fox and Miss Rose” where she played a very innocent character which is polar opposite of here. Just read up on “Ancient Love Song”; seems very interesting but is the overall tone bittersweet or hopeful? I don’t mind open endings if they give a glimmer of hope.

Miles Wei plays 2ML very well. I liked 2FL actress in another drama where she played a very positive FL, so it’s interesting to see her playing a very bad person. Both second leads probably had a good time being evil 😈

Viki subs are good. There are two episodes on Viki already and two more coming on Wednesday.

Evil Princess is at least somewhat rational — she just wants to have 2ML to herself (so even her attempts to eliminate FL have some rationale). But 2FL is just a delusional psycho at this point — somehow he flipped from hating FL to wanting her and now doing all sorts of things to get her back (as if!). Hopefully, in the end Evil Princess gets rid of 2ML, retires to the countryside and starts raising bunnies 🐰😁

Only one season of this show has been announced so far but, based on the pace of the episodes, it should cover the entire novel. There was a second novel in this mini-universe but it’s not clear if it will be filmed (probably depends on reception to this show).
