ML actually hasn’t mentioned the fact they met even earlier when he was in a bear costume handing out flyers and FL came to his rescue by restraining annoying kids.
At this point, the writers must be using the obviously wacky Evil Grandma as a meta-commentary/criticism of all the other dramas where people get blamed for ridiculous reasons or for things they could not control in any way, shape or form.
The good thing about this drama being only 12 episodes is that there is no need for writers to waste episodes on unnecessary melodrama/angst. In a 16-episode drama, they would have dragged events if episode 7 much longer (episode 10-12).
I want to see that aunt in jail too and yifan's mother's reaction about it. Just give me some seconds of satisfaction...…
Aunt was arrested before the evil uncle was caught (it was mentioned but not shown). Since aunt helped cover up the crimes, including murder, she is definitely not getting out soon.

Completely agree with you! After watching good dramas where characters behave rationally and plot makes sense, it is hard to accept dramas with lazy writing and senseless plot tropes/cliches. (Through 21 episodes, this drama is good which gives me hope.)
