I didn't love her in her other drama. She was just okay. I wasn't thrilled she was the FL as ther are others I…
Did you watch When I Fly Towards You? It’s from the same author as TFF & HF and is very lighthearted (FL in that drama is 2FL in TFF). I see you liked Flowering Peony and Princess Royal, check out Are You the One if you haven’t already. It’s slightly lighter in tone but has heroes that actually behave logically and set traps for enemies instead of being victims to plots against them.

Happy to help! The one thing I appreciated about My Boss is the lack of bad tropes like breakups for no reason, dumb miscommunication, etc. And it’s relatively light-hearted except for some things with an ex of FL’s family member.

My Boss is surprisingly excellent drama even though the premise is not very original. The cast did a great job and it’s one of those rare C-dramas where I would have accepted even more episodes :)
Didn't Duan Jiaxu first help Sang Zhi when he was still in high school? If he's supposed to be Sang Yan's high…
TFF uses timeline from the novels and also keeps the age gap between HL’s heroes at 8 years. In HL drama the age gap between ML & FL was decreased to 5 years
This is the second C-drama ever I've watched. The last one I watched sucked because ML was really toxic and controlling...…
Like mentioned by others, definitely check out “When I Fly Towards You”. it’s written by the same author as The First Frost and the 2FL (FL’s best friend) in TFF is the lead FL in WIFTY. It’s less heavy than TFF and so, so good. One of rare C-dramas which has 9+ rating on MDL.
Would also highly suggest: — “You Are My Lover Friend” (premise sounds cliche but it’s executed exceptionally well) — “Fake It Till You Make” (possibly best modern adult romance drama; relatively short too) — “Put Your Head on My Shoulder” (very cute and funny college/post-college drama)
sang Zhi and duan jianxu appear very very sporadically. same for his parents. but I think we see more of his mother…
From what I understand, HL drama changed age gap between the main heroes from 8 years to 5 years. TFF drama uses the original age gap from novels which is why the sister is only now going off to university while brother has finished it a few years ago.
I have to say...the ML is slightly one one dimensional in this (in hidden love, both were one dimensional)...and…
Your perception could be due to the fact that when it comes to ML & FL the drama doesn’t spend too much time on their jobs (especially for ML), so we mostly see them interacting with each other or their friends.
People have said the drama is sticking pretty closely to the novel (when it comes to ML & FL), so if you want…
If all goes according to the novel, once the ML & FL get together, they will not break up and there will be a happy ending. In the drama, there is a person who tries to pursue FL, but she completely ignores him so there is not really a love triangle.
Waiting for all episodes to be out to ask if there is any break up, annoying love triangles and happy ending...…
