Give it a chance sometimes the dramas people argue about the most end up being the ones you enjoy the most

That’s honestly a more understandable criticism tbh I can see why some people feel the plot is predictable, even though I’m still personally enjoying the performances and emotional scenes

I mean… not liking a drama is completely fine but acting like everyone who enjoyed it is just a “blind fan” is such a weird mindset. People connect to dramas for different reasons some enjoy the emotional tension, cinematography, performances, soundtrack, character dynamics, or even the slow pacing itself.

And saying the ratings are fake just because YOU didn’t enjoy it feels unfair tbh. A drama doesn’t become “garbage” simply because it wasn’t your taste. Clearly a lot of viewers genuinely connected with it, otherwise it wouldn’t have this much discussion and engagement around it every week

Or maybe people simply have different tastes? just because you found it boring doesn’t mean everyone else is forcing themselves to enjoy it. A lot of us genuinely like the emotional tension, performances, cinematography, and character dynamics

You honestly explained it perfectly 😭👏 people keep attacking IU and Byeon Woo-seok as if they’re the problem, when the real issue is that the script gives the side characters far more emotional depth and complexity than the actual leads. The Queen Mother and the Prime Minister constantly get layered scenes, conflicting emotions, tension, manipulation, power struggles… meanwhile the main leads are often stuck reacting to everything around them instead of being fully developed themselves.

And despite all that, IU and BWS still managed to create emotional scenes that carried entire episodes for me 😭 especially episodes 8-10. Honestly, if weaker actors had these roles, this drama would probably be getting dragged way harder right now

I respect your opinion but personally I think people are judging the drama way harsher just because IU is in it. If another actress played this same role, I honestly don’t think the criticism would be this intense
