When ML asked FL do get up about 2 times, and she is just giving him this innocent stubborn look, instead of dragging her on her feet as it was expected, he got on his knees, and put the ring in it. First time I watched it, it bugged me,. After another rewatch, it made some since. The man is all bark with his wife lol.

You are absolutely right about him being rough only on the outside with people he cares about. In the scène were she was crying, the man was moved when he heard her doing noises for the first time, and the only thing he found to tell her was that she was ugly😂😂. But of course, he was not fooling us. His voice even changed its tone when he told her that, almost like a whisper. And yes, I found him a layered character. Not someone who is mean because he is an alpha boy, but someone who build up himself consciously to be who he is now.
For all your questions on second and third paragraph, I don't have enough elements yet to fully dwell into speculations about them. So much why, so much episodes left, so much time before we finish them all yet lol , and not enough patience to wait for them all. And that s what I like about this show. Not much seemed to happened since EP1, but so much happened at the same time, giving us informations from past and present to help us piece the story together. Heaven give us patience to wait for next Friday

I am struggling to put him in the tsundere category only because of how the show wants to portray him. He is the spokesman, an ancient anchor, and even have negotiator on his CV. Even FL step dad said to his father that he took from his grandfather, who seemed to be a terrific intelligent man. The man is described to be able to handle too much social skills to be only tsundering his wife lol.
And in some scenes,now and then, we saw that he is totally capable of flirting with her. And the man open up to 406 about how he view his wife . At some point it was impossible for me to see if it was part of his négociation game, or if it was just him baring his soul out ( or if it was both).
In my first comment , I wanted to say that he did not want to start a relationship with her because of the family. Perhaps because he is paving his own route and want to break free somehow from them. The father said he was a disobedient child , implying he was doing things in his own way, and even threatened him to not leave his shadow if he did not wanted to be crushed. Since his marriage was benefit only to his dad campaign to begin with, he may be thinking about divorcing maybe after the election. Staying in this marriage would still be a bond with his family. Besides, he have a deal with the sister that she will not take the place of the wife if she get back. Why if the whole nation already think that she his is legal wife? ( Aaarght the waiting for the next episodes is killing me lol, I want answers)
But I like your theory that he have a big plan . Hee Ju is totally part of it, and maybe he does not want to add any flames to the gazoline of their chemistry yet lol .
The kidnaper is definitely someone close to their circle, it may be a already revealed member of a family, or someone we already saw, but don't know if they are related to them yet.
Yes I do believe that he thought she was not sincerely interested in him. The way my man was so happy when he learned his wife was practicing over and over on his videos to the point of being in sync with him. And that intimate interview were he was talking about the couple. I bet my man regretted those 3 years, and thinking about the potential children they could have made in this interval lol. But as you said , it is mostly speculations , and so far I am loving everybody's put on it.

The mother left HJ s father to marry a wealthy man, HJ s step dad. He has a son and daughter , both probably older than HJ. At some point the children were involved in an accident. The son died, and the daughter became deaf, and only HJ seemed to be left unscratched in the accident. When the mother realized that, she thought that the chairman may kick them out because both of his children were damaged by the accident while his step daughter was fine. So she pressured HJ into not talking to make him think that HJ is injured too, so he may pity them and let them stay in the family.

Avoiding spoilers is one of the things that made be start this drama 1 week after the release, because it seemed to be everywhere lol. I said I ll torture myself with the waiting instead lol. So far, I have been dodging spoilers like Neo in the matrix. Only one bullet hit me on YouTube, and thankfully, it is only a potential spoiler, as it may and may not happen in the drama. But as the wise girl I am, I vowed to never open any video or forum discussing this série before watching the last episode released. But I do enjoy the theories and speculations around it.

Thank you. I normally am a person who would quickly read books , comics, webtoons and even existing fanfics about movies and series that I like lol, but strangely for this one, I wanted to enjoy the K-drama version before getting to the other materials. The first 2 episodes caught me off guard, and I really love the theories and conversations around it , before the big reveal in the future episodes. But I am glad to see that I caught something, and the behavior of the ML may have another explanation then him being just a tsundere, I appreciate the lead you got me.

Oh, there is no doubt of him liking her. I don't know if he ever had romantic feelings for her since they were children, but the episodes after the kidnapping show that now he loves her. Even his reporter friend told him that he loves his wife ( even when he thought they were talking about someone else). But what is still bugging me is how he is keeping her at length.
Per example, if you compare the relationship between him and the reporter, or his fangirl , he still have that hot and cold behavior with them, but they already know the kind of person he is, and like him nevertheless. Even the relation with his employees looks healthy. But when it comes to his wife, even if his actions still show love, his words make him look like he really don't want to go deeper with her. And our girl , with the emotional bagage she is carrying, is not able to read between the lines. To think your husband really want you dead after 3 years of marriage, even if it's a fake one shows that deep inside she thought he did not like her a bit, even if the audience is gathering informations now and then that is absolutely not the case.
For the mom part ( the woman is insufferable by the way), I understand he doesn't want to pressure her to be intimate with him. But he goes as far as to told her to not get feeling for him . And that what the first thing he told her before bringing the mom in the conversation. That s why I may think that even if he loves her, he seems to not want to have a relationship with her.
I absolutely don't mind the long texts lol. We are all suffering like one soul in the comment section because of episode 5.

I totally forgot about the weakness part. He indeed seems to be hiding her for sure. Even when his father insulted her in the diner scene, he did not respond directly, but took the opportunity to tell him he will not support him in his schemes for the election.
And the fact that the kidnaper went straight to use his wife to blackmail him shows that she will be in danger everytime someone choose to attack him.

I remembered in early ep 4 when she was crying in the car and he was happy she was making sounds ( one of my favorite scenes btw), everyone was like : aaaaw he is so proud of her, but my dirty mind went straight to: he is delighted she is capable of moaning 😂

I really believe that the ML never tent to keep their marriage contract for long. That would explain why he did not do the slightest effort to get close to her , even if he is taking good care of her from afar. The man thinks his wife may be cheating, and understand that 406 is laying conditions that only benefit her. Yet he let her be, don't confront her about it, and even tell her he won't divorce, even though someone may be misleading her. He don't even make much effort to court her after that. He sure is taking much care of her, but still seem to not want them to be intimate. Only in EP 4 in the interview scene he seems to contemplate the possibility of them being a normal couple those past 3 years.
Maybe it is something related to his family matters, or maybe I am thinking too much of it, and the man is just our average Wattpad hot tsundere CEO.
