Y’all can disagree with me.. but for some reason this series have a very strong patriarchy stuff happened and…
I fail to see how this is implying any patriarchy action harming women... Hong lian was born with a condition that messed up her moral compass, in the extend she is trading her affections, and not her real love to get a cure. The fact that she was the one who needed to give the love that could cure her showed she could have get ride of her conditions a long time ago. As for the men in her lives, those who were Romantically involved with her were hurt, the one she like did not like her back so she hurt him by killing others, those who have sealed her did it to keep her from harming other men/potential children , elderly and women, as she has already killed a bunch of them. Ru yue is a primordial divinity who have been there for as long as the sun and the moon were created. She had been in everyone's ad side only some hundreds years ago because she caused an havock in heaven for 100 years ( of course those informations need more updates because we don't know if she has really done that or they are pining some false blame on her) . And even if she was set up, I am sure this has more to do with her essence as a divinity, that could be a liability for others , than her being a woman. Besides, they already stated how powerful she is, so she is no damsel in destress , and people can't mess up with her easily. Ling ER s case is the only one I find fitting your description, and even so, I am not sure it has something to do about patriarchy. His father does enjoy taking those wives, and they have already shown how the last one introduced was more than unwilling to do the wedding. But as we saw it, they gave an explanation for it, and even if this mean sacrificing the love destiny of thousands a d thousands women, nobody but her father seems to be okay or to enjoy the wedding. Then again, how is it related to the whole patriarchal system?
I think there is a lot to adress in the serie before picking a side. At this point, it's not about who is wrong how right, or if an action was justified or not. It's about knowing one s responsibility, and accepting or bearing the aftermath of actions. Everybody is standing on his ground because they know they are not a villain. But still, they are analyzing the situation with only the datas and assets they have, or the opinion they formed, making them appear to be right on a short lens, but questionable, if not wrong when considering the larger picture. And that was a problem we have been dealing with for ever as humans. We still can't grasp how an action we made in the past can affect a whole future generation s life, in the good as in the bad. And the future generation will certainly not know to blame that one action that triggered their situation, but will assess only information about recent events . The whole drought things was messed up in the first place, and the dragon sure knew he was hurting people that were not responsible for the destruction of his mountain. But we as humans, when hard times strike, instead of protecting each other, we are on the contrary throwing ourselves against one another, and in the name of survival, can even harm and hurt those who are more defenseless. The meng disciple clearly explained how the officialdom was corrupted, and how the poorer were the most stroke by the dought. Will killing the dragon relieve those people for a while? Of course. Will it stop those people s suffering and ameliorate their conditions? Sure not. And it was interesting to see how meng chi, after almost loosing his life in a battle he could not win against the system, decided that the real problem was the gods, and slaying them would resolve the problem. It s an endless cycle were people are shifting blames, taking actions that can relieve them for a time, but can cost them, or even a larger group in the future.
So in the next ep they both locking their powers on their own will meaning they can unlock it at anytime.. wht…
Normally they describe the time spend in heaven to be different from time spent to mortal real. For example, in love you seven time, the FL when to mortal world some seconds before the ML for a tribulation, this resulted to have him born a few years later after her arrival. So if the theory is right and he Went to heaven while leaving her in the mortal world, the difference in time flow could explain it.
just started this today.I look at the ML and I think he's handsome, but then they do a close up and I feel there…
Lol I first saw him in romance on the farm, and I noticed something was going on with his gaze too. Like he is that immortal soul wandering earth for too long and had seen the worst shit human beings can do; but is still undercover, and trying h is best to fix an eternal sulking expression on his face to hide is utter disgust for humanity. Now considering the personality they gave him in FEUD, I do find the look suiting BJS very well
I feel the visuals surprisingly are some of the best I have seen in a long time. Its xianxia but the castles aren't…
Nah, it's definitely a preference thing. I watched it straight after watching the shows I cited, maybe that s why I was expecting more, so it's good if everybody else is enjoying it as it is
After watching Moonlight mystic , love in Pavilion, and red moin pact ( because of love in pavilion), I have to say that I am low-key disappointed in the visuals of FEUD. While I am enjoying the story so far, I can't help but think that if the make ups, designs, scene directing, editing, CGI effect, decors, even sound effect and OSTs were better than what has been delivered, the show would flow better. Of course, good visuals are icing on the cake, bu if they gave me the choice, I d take my cake with the best icing design.
I don't really like SML, I find him quite annoying. He thinks BJS is his enemy just because BJS married his crash?…
Skipped his long torture on his way to heavens. In other circumstances, I would find it epic, but in that particular case he is doing this just because he saw an husband taking a revival fruit to heal his wife, I lost all interest in his feelings for FL. Like dude. If the man came to beat your asses to take the fruit, that means he does care at least for his wife s life. Chill the f out
I have few theories : - WHAT IF she had actually hidden the fact that she was pregnant to Jiusi and him find out…
If it's really an misunderstanding and the ML did nothing wrong, I would feel pity for him. I am actually team BJS so far, and I am really waiting for the big revelation to be really messed up because I really want to get FL s side. What I hate the most in Xanxia stories, it's unresolved misunderstandings that lives for hundred years. And honestly, I really think the 2 peoples back in her quarters in heaven ( the closet boy and the peach tree girl) are tied to them somehow. The girl said she is less than 300 year old and know nothing of their feud, while for some reasons, the cabin boy is being held captive here by BJS for unexplained reasons. And when together , they give slibings vibes. It's an immortal story, so everything is possible. Maybe it has something to do with the whole children case in the mortal world?
The problem with SML's is that they NEVER CONFESS THEIR FEELINGS! They just silently stay beside the FL all those…
And when they openly confess to preferred lead, particularly after doing something so horrible the lead can't be sympathic, they break and spit fire and turn into an annoying second hand villain. " How could you reject my feeling? After all I have done for you??!"😫
I am not into the story fully yet, but I love how they chose to tell the story. It s like you are thrown in the aftermath of a shit storm, nobody wish to talk about it, and peps are giving you cold shoulder/mixing vibe for no reason. I actually feel for the ML . The man seems to be in love with his wife ( the immortal version), but at the same time wants to get his revenge from her. I like how he scoff like every second he is with the FL, as to express how pathetic he feels for being into her after what she have done to him. And he seems like he really want to give this version of her a chance, but wants to be 100% sure that she is indeed a reborn mortal with no memory of her past , and that she is not still playing him. I hear that people are saying that FL is naive and innocent, but I beg to differ. She may be sweet, but some of her actions are very harsh. How she treated her senior sister, how she dealt with the serpent for destroying her village, the punition she choose for Ling Er. Those were not innocent or naïve moves. It would make sense if she is faking things, or if she got this fiery side from her previous immortal self. SML and SFL would come off as heros in a series where both main leads would not be lovers. At the end of the day, they just want to protect people they deem closebto their heart. But in the case where the main leads are interested in each other, they just came of as annoying second characters. I am very interested in the story of the cursed lotus woman and the ML s disciple. I pretty like the companionship.
Ep 7 Not me theorising what happened to him to have white hair but bro is just changing wigs 😂😂 jk jk He…
Same lol. I thought it was because of previous wife, but the hair was already white before the betrayal. Then there were a scene when they were talking, and the hair was black. I was officially done when they got to the mortal world and he was just vibing his black hair.
Typical bai lu junk. Immortals who are not good ...a hero that a narcissist..a so called weak heroine who is running…
I like how you describe it as a " Bai Lu junk", as she was the one who directed, wrote, filmed, designed, edited , and played all the roles in the drama.
What I love about this drama so far is how they are handling the usual cdrama tropes properly. The enemies to lovers trope, the aphrodisiac, love triangle, family rivalry, beaks ups, consuming marriage months after the wedding, those are familiar scenarios we often see in cdrama. But the way they made them flow with the main story is so organic it's looks like you are really prying into a couple s intimate life. I like how they give the main characters their layers, making the leads full of flaws, and giving the villains those moments where you feel pity for them. I like that the series seems to be a healing journey for the wei family, progressively getting them to let the traumatic past caused by the Qiao family go. And I absolutely loved the way they chose to portray the relationship with the main leads. At first I thought they would have some kind of crazy meets toxic relationship, but I like how they navigated their story better.
Ep32, FL has very bad lines. She says " You are important as family are" but did not say " you are the most important…
Down rating a série after 31 épisodes explaining the progression of a relationship between a vengful husband and a protective wife from rival clans just because one line did not fit your romantical expectation is crazy.
