goshh! 10 minutes is really long for an opening sequence.. i would’ve preferred they do alternating scene shots like what they did in FOF where they showed both the FL & ML busy doing their own thing before they met. maybe it’s the directors’ style to add more mystery but really i hope they do his character justice. some people did mention that in the novel, it’s more from the FL’s perspective but if i’m not mistaken they’ve rewritten this to show the ML’s perspective too. so hopefully it improves the number of scenes he has. will have to wait till the novel readers can make an analysis after it gets released.

exactly why i’m suspecting the overlay beijing operatic style was actually sung by him! coz i’ve been listening to the song and i’m wondering where he’s singing it.. the main voice sings in normal chinese singing style throughout, with mixed voice and falsetto voice being the norm, like his other songs. the only operatic voice is the overlay. he mentioned during his off work letter receiving session that he’s going to try and sing a new operatic style (if the translation was right; a day before the song was released). and his old interview(the one you mentioned) he did have experience in bel canto (western style opera) and his voice was really strong; for a moment i thought he sounded so bassy! but his singing voice should be a tenor! i’m utterly confused at how talented he is. and when he sang tanggula for the CCTV lunar new year special, he did try singing the tibetan style when he said “ri guang cheng”. So i can only assume he sang the overlay in “beijing jingju” style. the video clip didn’t show him singing that part either!! i need a bts videooo asapp!! I wishh he would come out and announce whether he did it or not because I need to know whether my assumption is true or not!!!

oh that’s the coffee from the morning shoot. the one that made people concerned was from the night shoot the previous day. it was because people thought he had gastric discomfort due to his previous surgery, went missing for a day.. so they wanted him to not drink coffee and hurt his stomach. your link had really funny comments like “i support hmh’s coffee freedom!” 🤣 people really do show love in different ways..

i honestly think that people change in every season of their lives. rumors are scary. like ariana grande said that people think that she’s done plastic surgery but she actually haven’t. I personally think that hmh grows up and he’s always constantly innovating on his looks, makeup, stylization and characterization. so we really shouldn’t judge him for petty things but just focus on more important things like the art he presents and how he inspires us to be better people.
to answer your question, those two works he presents completely different characters because of his acting skills and it’s like he’s given life to them in a way that it’s hard to distinguish them based on picture alone or a short video of their characters. he looks different because of the characterization. it’s a crazy optical illusion due to his acting skills, makeup and stylization.

yeah.. i haven’t processed this change.. maybe i’ll decide whether it’s better or not later after the one he’s filming gets aired.. but yeah it was great already.. maybe he’s going for a different look for each work he’s putting out. none of his characters look the same (stylization and characteristics) and that’s what I value most about him.. his acting skills 👍🏻

a lot of fans were complaining about his coffee drinking as well and this account scolded them because hmh only drank for work, (probably bitter for his taste because he likes eating sweets) coffee reduces swelling and keeps him energized for the night shoot. it’s so nice to see he’s got a lot of people who cares for him now hahaha
