theyāre not competing, the atmosphere in the music show is really good because they appreciate different interpretations of different artists. yes they are a bit competitive in trying to get the song they like, and for their own professional development, they do their best to sing the best they can. they do realise different artists, different genres and styles of singing have their own fanbase and niches. Joker Xue also greatly complemented Xiao Hou on his singing and talent (saying he was a great actor and great at singing and not many can do that) also he did complain about how difficult the song is because of the range (very low to very high notes) and needless to say, HMH went up and made the song harder. Update: a blogger wrote xiao hou sang this song spanning 33 keys!!

(for example when LYN vs ZS sometimes i like LYNās version, sometimes i like ZSās). even though i currently really like HMH, (hope iām not too biased about this) i personally like HMHās version for this song. itās very pure and strong. So to each their own, whoeverās version you like, HMH did super well and Iām so proud of him for taking on his first music variety show. i hope he can be more comfortable and show more of his personality next time.. yes, in the first season (named melody journey in english) after the last episode airs, they have a live concert event where the singers perform and sometimes do duet collaborations. itās a bit sad that heās skipping all these events, but if he is rejecting them, it means he has reached his limits, and we know weāve been wanting him to rest. hopefully he would be able to rest well and hopefully his team schedules his upcoming work better.
