Of course no fan has read their contract. However, GIR’s public statements stated that they indeed chose to…
Thank you for you response and I am sorry that you, and other fans are going through this. I have yet to watch the show but sympathise with the actors as well.
It would be nice if GIR is guilty and the other side goes to court to force performance of the contract. (I don't know enough about contract or Thai law)
GIR /Smart have more to lose by terminating the contract. Effectively ruining Smarts career. Their behaviour is also financially illogical unless there is a valid legal reason. I was trying to understand how fans believe only one side is guilty without knowledge and facts. I guess its irrelevant now.
Because GIR literally put out a statement saying they were breaking their contract lol
I dont have a hidden agenda. I have not even watched the show (Im looking forward to watching) and dont have a favourite. Feel sorry for both boom/smart.
Obviously you dont care for facts and simply BELIEVE. Im more curious about people who are so certain they KNOW EVERYTHING rather then supporting either company.
Playing devils advocate - even if GIR terminated first - they may have had a valid basis that gave them legal right to terminate under the contract - ie the other party did not perform as required and refuses too.
GIR /Smart have more to lose by terminating the contract. Effectively ruining Smarts career. Their behaviour is also financially illogical. Unless there is a valid legal reason. Im curious about the facts and curious how everyone knows who is at fault.
It will be interesting if this goes to court - and it should if ONE PARTY BREACHES as there are financial losses. I just dont know which party breached the contract. (Terminating is not a breach if the contract allows it.)
This may all be above you since you can only believe instead of reason
Most asinine review - dont like it because you don't approve of the relationship, you don't get the ending you want, and the toxic relationship.
Funny how when a series romantises violence - like when its a mafia plot, then we can do away with morals and approve of toxic behaviour like violence and murder and physical assault. Why dont your explain how that type of behaviour is not acceptable either. Or do you only patronise those who enjoy viewing toxic relationships and messy dramas.
Or do you have selective morals. You dont mind physical violence but draw the line at toxic relationship. In China they have censored bl dramas because they dont approve. Imagine if we started censoring dramas based on our selective morals - there would be very little to watch.
I gave this a 10. Loved the novel and the drama series. Its one I rewatch often.
It has a riveting story, with interesting characters, and character development. This is missing in a lot of Thai BL dramas.
Poom (Joe) is such a good actor. In the first episode when he gets off the lift and Ming grabs his arm, you can see the range of emotions conveyed, angst, pain, fear, regret.
The first review hit the nail on the head. There’s just soooooo many issues. Like Nu , this sizable guy is so…
I agree 100% that Nu was miscast - should have been someone younger and smaller. Also Chain/Jorn story does not make sense due to size difference. I skimmed through the book (It was not very good ) in the book- Chain did not cheat he is the good guy and its a misunderstanding. in the book - Jorn was champion fighter which could explain diff in strength but even then... i dont buy it as Chain was an athlete.
I rated it highly because it was good and deserves recognition. They took a risk to produce this show and am grateful
They had a limited budget but despite that it delivers and is a quality show. And it has a happy ending.
And yes - some parts are toxic but its FANTASY and FICTION. Funny how people dont care about violence, but when they hear toxic their selective morals come into play.
One thing i hate is misogynists. Calling Carrie a c*nt makes you the c*nt. Grow up and stop acting like an assh.ole…
No shit - Shane having sex with Jonathan who is just a best friend is worse behaviour. He cheated on her as well. But as she is a woman - she is the worst.
EDIT I am tired of misogyny directed at FICTIONAL female characters who stand in the way of boylove. The male character who stands in the way never gets as much hate.
I just finished this drama and enjoyed it a lot more then most k dramas . I think people hated the lead actress (she was that good in her role) for her narcistic personality and downvoted based on that. I found it interesting to explore and understand and without judgement the characters, and their past experiences, that drive them to behave in a certain way.
The lead actor Ryeo Un was incredible in this role.
Because GIR literally put out a statement saying they were breaking their contract lol
ahh you are so clever - obviously you are an attorney who has read the specific contract, are aware and understood the finer issues because you were part of the negotiations, and have access to all facts.
Could you confirm if there were any legal basis to terminate a contract - as you have obviously read and understand all the contracts signed by all parties.
Or are you and everyone else just talking out of your a'SS
This was a beautiful but sad story. What kind of pisses me off is the fact that Shane showed all this affection…
I agree with your analysis but even if Carrie didnt get involved with Shane - he would have gotten involved with another woman. And she was in a vulnerable position (being rejected ) when she got involved with Shane. I love realistic endings even if they are sad.
ok honestly ive been putting it aside for a while cuz i thought its sad ending looks like its fuck with me a chainsaw…
One thing i hate is misogynists. Calling Carrie a c*nt makes you the c*nt.
Grow up and stop acting like an assh.ole because you didnt get the ending you wanted. I liked Carrie, I like the two male leads. If anyone is to blame - well its Shane. He was manipulative and dishonest .
SmartBoom is officially done. WeTV announcement:https://x.com/wetvthailand/status/1936076580914106832?s=61&t=vFOxkyd65t281n-w2C1DigTai…
Curious why everyone believing WeTV and Tai Lai over GIR? Have people here read the actual contracts and have knowledge of all the facts to blame GIR. Everyone is speculating without having knowledge (particularly of the contract terms) and believe one PR team over the other. It makes no logical or financial sense to breach even if you are greedy - unless you have no options as it will have a detrimental effect on the actor.
Everyone else seems to be so knowledgeable and certain that its GIR particularly on the reddit thread. I just dont buy PR and dont have knowledge to have an opinion about who blame. I wish I understood why people feel so strongly on who is guilty.
Why is everyone so sure that GIR & Smart breached the contract????
Has anyone actually seen the contract or does everyone simply believe Tail Lai and WeTV press release statements. Everyone is speculating without having knowledge (particularly of the contract terms) and believe one PR team over the other.
Maybe there were valid reasons GIR could not abide by the terms or demands made - IF that is even the case. Why would GIR breach as it makes no logical or financial sense.
Im just amazed at how certain people are without seeing the contract and having all the facts (reading reddit posts). Are they all believing PR from one side only.
I'm genuinely curious why so many Indian women and news outlets are obsessed with this man. It's funny that it's…
They also have a huge ra.pe problem in their society. Where you often hear about a couple of men rap.e a woman and get away with it because they are men, and because of the caste system where essentially if you are a lower class you are an object.
KSH is an interesting case but seriously the media in India should focus more on the corruption in their legal system and how its abused by rapi.sts. Unless they dont care about the caste system or womens safety.
Im not a fan of KSH ( he is a predator ) but why are Indian women not as concerned with the issues that affect their society then what a Korean actor is doing. This is energy misplaced.
Why are they forcing lesbian couples in bl shows. It ruins a lot of the bl shows. I dont watch gl shows to see…
Im glad this show got a low rating and indicates that fans dont want to see the inclusion of GL couples in bl shows.
I appreciate "the homophobic" insult. If you hate straight couples what does that make you? A hypocritical idiot?
People are allowed to have their own safe space to watch bls without having other types of relationships encroach it. It actually makes you homophobic if you come to bl space and force gl couple relationship.
It doesn't matter how well they are written - GL couples are annoying and whinny in bl shows.
And you are very much like them. Whinny and illogical, throwing false accusations.
Enjoyed his performance and thought he was cute.
I would love to see him act in more dramas.
It would be nice if GIR is guilty and the other side goes to court to force performance of the contract. (I don't know enough about contract or Thai law)

I doubt there will be a season 2 especially since the actors are suing management company for contract termination for not being paid fully.

Shane seduced Carrie when she was vulnerable after being rejected by Johnathan.
Also sad to learn about Miura Haruma, and then to find out he died - RIP
