There was another spin off series "Between Us" which featured the supporting cp in UWMA - Boun (Win)/Prem.

Both lead actors in UWMA were great in their roles but I didnt like them together (personal opinion) as a cp because it looked like a man (Dean) and boychild (Pharm) relationship. One actor looked like a child so they appeared mismatched.

I think you will enjoy both the shows. UWMA is objectively better but I liked Between us more because Boun/Prem are one of my favourite bl couples. Its one of my comfort shows.

Am I the only one feeling this way about flashbacks?
I could not hold out and watched all the available episodes in one go today - so maybe that is why feel this way about the flashbacks.

You have nailed the reasons. I am getting really involved in the present story and I feel like I am being interrupted. Its also takes me a while to figure out they are back in the past again so its disorientating. I dont mind the past scenes if they were all done in one go or less often.

When I was watching UWMA I was more focused Bourn/win than Dean but I am happy to correct the error of my ways. They both deserve attention.

This person seems to be much too invested in this show - responding to anybody who makes a comment that do not meet the minimum requirement of fawning over the show.

Im an analyst - and enjoy listening to, discussing and learning so I welcome both positive and negative views without arrogance and ego. There is a difference between hate comments and opinions. You have gone after everyone who has had a contrary opinion.

I am enjoying the show BUT I find it distracting how the switch between past memories and present. Not enjoying how that is done.

The actor who plays Paul is cute. Did not recognise that he was Dean from UWMA. I did not find him attractive as a character in that show. I guess it shows that he is a good actor

I thought contrary opinions were allowed . Or is the opinion of liking the show the only correct one.

I enjoy having heated discussions about shows -both positive or negative. I dont take it personally. I even like to hear what is wrong with the shows I love and what people hate about them.

The only think I don't tolerate is the moral brigade when it comes to dictating what fiction is allowed, because its a slippery slope and hypocrisy - toxic not okay, glorying violence and mafia type shows is okay.

You are too invested in this show.

I think any analysis - defending or attacking should be encouraged. I would not find you at fault if you went to shoot down a show if you have watched a few episodes and there are valid personal reasons. I have attacked shows and actors that I liked ( Last Twilight ) because of how they wrote and developed the characters of Day/Mohk.

I'm a data analyst but love the subjectivity of analysing literature or dramas because there are so many grey areas and different ways of thinking. (Wish i had done english literature).

I think that are valid subjective reasons to like or dislike something.
My valid personal reasons for not liking the show is that I don't like the royalty costume fairy tale romance setting. I feel I cant take it seriously and plot does not engage me. I prefer messy dramas like Only friends.
It would be wrong for me to criticise the show because I dislike NuNew and his acting (Zee is okay) as that is my personal bias . Im sure you dislike some actors or people without any good reason. They just annoy you.

Despite my opinions I do want the show to do well because its not GMMTV.

What has really annoyed me is that the I had read that the moderator of a TNP fan group told its members to vote low scores for another show (Reset I think) and to vote high on this one.
Some fans are too invested.

Also there are about 150 reviews when the drama has not finished. A lot of them suspiciously have a 10

I think its style and hype (and popularity of actors) that is driving this show.
I find story line unconvincing and just dont care enough about fairy tale royalty drama.
I was bored and dropped it.

I think its style and over hype over substance. Die hard fans of the leading actors love it. I presume that is what is driving the popularity - as I have read they are the most popular bl actors (I may be wrong). If it was First/Khao or other couples i like, then I would be more into it. But I would still see it for what it is.

Its done well for Thai bl such as settings, costumes, filming but it doesn't grab me. Im not into the fantasy royalty stories. I prefer something like Only Friend, My Stubborn, My Stand it or what the Chinese/Taiwan produce eg Revenged Love, History - rather then a high budget fairy tale costume fantasy drama - I cant play along with the fantasy story - even if it was a bl pairing that I liked - so I have dropped it.

But you are assuming that Shane would have been interested in Jonathan if she was not around and they would have automatically gotten together.

Judging by his actions, I dont think Shane ever really cared about Jonathan. Shane was selfishly fixated on his needs - manipulating his friend to get what he needed. He didnt care that Shane was hurting, spiralling, destroying his academic future. He even pursued Shanes friend Carrie .

Yet because she is a woman, she gets the hate. I really dont know why bl audiences are so misogynistic.

I dont feel comfortable paying for an unauthorised translation.
A lot of these translations are done badly by google translate and do not make sense.

A lot of people enjoyed show and loved the second couple. I am one of them. I love games and toxic relationships in fiction. (eg Only Friends, My Stand-in)

But a lot of people disapproved of the ChainJorn plotline and voted series down because it did not meet their moral standards.

These people have no problem romanticising violence, and mafia type drama shows where bodies are beaten up, people murdered, violence is glorified. However they disapprove toxic relationships being romanticised. They believe that writers and producers should not romanticise toxic relationships in FICTION as it will affect us and we will not know right from wrong.

There are other things that are worth criticising the show about - too many couple stories in 6 episodes, no resolution and left on cliff-hanger, music over nc scenes, plot issues, casting issues.

For what it was - it got a lot of engagement, it made an impact and a lot of us enjoyed it despite the issues and shortcomings.
AND the male actors were cute - especially Chain/Jorn.

Should i watch this version or the Chinese version. One reviewer said that this version suffered from editing issues and story is not told as well.

If anyone has watched both, how are they different. Which one is easier to follow. Thanks

You listed South Korean actors first so these ones are more likely to be selected.
Also they are more known and popular - not necessarily the best looking.

Ji Chang Wook is pretty average in looks (amongst this set of very attractive men) but does not deserve first place - people are not voting based on looks
