The writing after episode 16 until today is probably the reason. The plot weakened imo

I was still hoping he’d act respectfully with her even though he knew but noooo, he went full disrespect. Idk how some female viewers find this endearing 😤

I think the comic from HL is too soon for me, maybe if this was a longer drama and the writer(s) slowly changed his personality over many episodes, maybe then I would digest this switch. It was no less than 48hrs ago, I was thoroughly hating HL and finding him disgusting. I just can’t accept the comic yet, I’m still on the edge with him. He is mentally unstable and lust is what making him go after Rao, if he gets her, he might get bored and end her. He’s a dangerous hunter.

💯💯 to all you said. The annoyance I feel when i see him on the screen now makes sense. I had a hard time understanding why I now rolled my eyes every time he came on the screen. I went from being appalled by his character to now being annoyed and disgusted. I understand now.

Same. I said the same thing a few days ago, it feels like another writer took over the work. Another writer who is into that generic lame writing. I really dislike when they make a drama go bad halfway. I’m still hoping it’ll pick up but I’m doubtful.

I just don’t understand how the writer(s) could allow this type of switch. There’s no way they can logically turn into funny characters.

I’m afraid, you and I are among the few to think this way. People will say that we are exaggerating and it’s just fictional but they forget the purpose of these dramas. The dramas are written for the viewers and the writers want to bring real emotions out of us. How can we easily be manipulated that we can switch from pure disgust from characters to now finding them endearing and or funny?

I sometimes use dramas to measure my moral compass, I think I have a problem if I start accepting this by saying “oh it’s just a drama so this behavior is fine.” Where do i personally draw the line?

One thing I find deranging now is how offensive characters are now used to bring comic relief.

We have one who a few episodes ago brutally murdered his wife by drowning her. Just because she was weak and quiet (and he started lusting over someone else’s WIFE)., he went ahead and drowned her in front of our eyes. Not to mention all the other disgusting things he did to others.

The other one has been immoral. Regardless if she’s a fake or not, she was legally married to your “best friend”. He was totally inappropriate and indecent towards her. Idc if now he’s using jealousy to make his “friend” realize that he loves his wife but Qi has been disrespectful towards the couple. That archery scene was definitely out of pocket.

Am I supposed to switch off my brain to what has been appealing behavior to now find comic relief from the same despicable characters? This switch feels uneasy, I’m sure they could have used other characters to bring the comic relief .

She was getting on my nerves but redeemed herself with that glorious beating of the beast. I still think she’s acting stupid and she needs something to shake her back into this fictional reality.

Right! They completely went over him ending his wife in one of the most brutal ways. The transition to him being a “clown” now to get her attention is out of place.

He notices the different personalities early on. He will not be tricked, I can’t remember exactly which episode number but they will try to switch and with just one look, he’ll know it’s not his wife.

Wasting everybody’s time smh.

The writers will have the leads smart in every situations, they can talk sense when it comes to intricate plots but becoming stupid when it comes to actually talking to each other and fixing their misunderstandings … it’s frustrating and unbelievable.

A complete waste of potential and quite frankly, an insult to viewers who want intelligent and or original storylines. Same, I knew it was coming but still fell for it. I should have known better, lazy writing was upon us. Long gone are the pre Covid solid plots.

I’m thinking, one of the 2 sisters will die trying to go after FL and the other one will be exile. Their dumb and selfish father will be disgraced too.

I have a feeling that she’s going to turn evil. She’s pretending because she and her sister currently have no power to fight FL. She will plot but indirectly attack like her mother did.

He is truly insufferable, just hearing his voice is enough to make want to be violent.

I feel like another writer took over the script from the end of ep 16 up until now. The writer went to the same school as all the other screenwriters who feed us the generic trop of the “I love you but will mess it all up by self sacrificing, none of us want this but let me walk away and make us suffer unnecessarily but don’t worry, we’ll get back together again. We both love each other but I’m not good for you , we went through all these hard events but let’s waste time with this unnecessary break up.” While she turns around and forgives all the people who actually did her wrong.

Yesterday and today were the first days I rolled my eyes and got bored because these 2 episodes looked like the many before them in different dramas. 17 and 18 weakened the plot a little imo. Hopefully the momentum will pick up again so the drama can end well for me.
