It’s true that they somehow balance each other’s personalities. Maybe if he didn’t bring his silly brother to important appointments, I’d be less annoyed by him. I’m on the edge whenever they go together to some important places or when ml trusts his brother with an important mission.
What is is the purpose of PingWen so far? I’m on episode 27 and I don’t see his purpose as a character in the drama. All he does is irritate and his “goofy” character is not funny at all.

Fl was written as if she was smart but she was an idiot. ML kept saving her from her stupidity. No plans whatsoever. The actress lacked facial expressions, her acting was dull.
This drama started out really well, it was interesting and different. That was until the writers started to force feed me the same eye rolling tropes. Fl has the same facial expression from start to finish and her personality became dull towards the end. She thinks she’s smart but she’s not. I skipped scenes towards the end of the drama.

My friend, in my head I was seeing them running away from the mess, hiding somewhere to raise the kids and living the simple life . I was in full blown delusion smh. Usually I can let out a tear here and there but for YiMei, I cried to the point of 🤧.

Same 😭. I didn’t expect her story to make me cry, I could sense it was coming but I didn’t think it touch me to this extent. I was holding on to hope even when he wore that uniform. I’m going to say it again, the actors of this drama are really putting their hearts into acting.
The cinematography team is made of “masters of the craft”.. WIZARDS! This is so good. The relief when she and her dad arrived shooting arrows, main couple parting ways again etc… all the emotions were captured well.
The team is pleasing my eyes and emotions, you can tell the cast and crew are made of people who respect their crafts.
