I think too little. We saw him a lot during first ep and half of second ep. I don’t think we’ll see him again for a while or ever.

For real. Why say it out loud? Especially with all the deranged people on the loose among us. Hopefully no one will take it as a challenge/mission to find a way to “shake” her. Some people don’t like to see others in peace.

I don’t think I’ve ever gave a shoutout to the cinematographer(s) when I talk about a drama (usually it’s the acting, costumes and or script) but.. I have to say that this is the first time I really appreciate and notice the work. I’m going to say it again, this drama is a masterpiece so far!

Thank you! I’m going to check them both, I always dismiss the dramas that have the “comedy” because I don’t find the humor to my liking. If you say they are good, I’ll give them a try 😁

I’m trying to make “recommendations” for this drama but I don’t find anything that comes close to this in terms of satisfaction and similar storyline with a woman disguised as a man then becomes an “emperor”. This drama is raising the bar for this type of plot.

At this point seeing how we are all waiting anxiously, let’s hope the drama meets our expectations cuz…. 😤.

I think Chinese and Korean dramas are trying to please the international audience so much that they are losing their essence. Whatever cliché worked on international fan base before, they keep recycling it.

Also, this new wave of Asian dramas fans seem really young and they don’t appreciate intelligent dramas much, they don’t care about the script as long as the visual is great and the actors “hot”. As a result, screenwriters have it easy, they don’t work as hard.

I have a love hate feeling for that ending song. When the drama gets really intense, you hear that song playing 😤😤😤. “Come on!!!! It’s already over??”

This drama is consistent so far, I really enjoy it.

I don’t fully agree with the OP because the “man” is a monster who is centuries old so I understand it’s fantasy world and I’m waiting to see who she will end up with.

What grossed me out was seeing the man, the actor Kim Young-kwang who played the human shape of the monster looking at that little girl (actress).

My uneasiness came from what I’m seeing happening in society with sick adults thoughts towards children. That’s why for THAT scene I was disgusted and borderline went on defensive mode.

Also, the recent case with the famous Korean actor (I will not mention him but I think you know who) , I’m more suspicious when there are older male actors around child actresses. Which is why I said our times will shape what we tolerate.

Unfortunately, I don’t know. I watch it on one of those free websites. If you don’t want to go the free route, Viki can be a good alternative, it’s just that sometimes they are behind when they release episodes.

What are you talking about? I shared MY feeling about THAT specific scene. I was talking about MYSELF, please point me to where I judged others? I’ll wait.
Writing this long reply, assuming that your interpretation of what I said is correct.

1) you have no idea if I like the drama or not (I actually like it).

2) when viewers watch, sometimes, scenes in a drama can
wake up a sensation that will be personal to a viewer due to what the viewer experienced in their personal life, it has nothing to do with the drama itself.

3) no matter if it’s a historical drama or fictional, our current times can affect how we react to what we are being told. Our modern experiences can shape our tolerance to what we see.

Same! I almost dismissed the drama, the title and the picture didn’t appeal to me, glad I overlooked all that and tried.

While watching, I get so invested that I forget it’s a short drama. The casting, the acting, the costumes… everything is 😍👌.

This short drama is much better than many of the long ones we’ve been fed lately.

It’s not on Netflix USA yet.

I thought I was the only one who felt grossed out by the scene when he approached her by the river when she was a child. Talking about how he’s never met someone like her before 🥴. That scene and how he looked at her then didn’t feel innocent to me.

I thought he was referring to the dream he had and the feelings he was starting to have. I believe he was relieved to see it was a woman and that he was not dreaming about a man.
