Yees! This year, at first we are all excited about the dramas but then around ep 5 you start to sense the crash is coming. If you decide to push through, by episode 10 you are wondering if it’s the same writer who wrote the first 3 episodes smh.
Wild Ambition Bloom was a good one too but her bad luck in relationships became exhausting to me. I enjoyed all the episodes until she met the last guy and started working with him. Idk why I started losing interest then.
“This Thriving Land” was good imo until FL started running around town like a superhero neglecting herself, she became a “know it all”. She became insufferable to me.

2025 was a rough year in dramaland for me. We finally have another proper drama, a drama that doesn’t insult the viewers. A drama where you don’t feel your IQ drop as you watch. Only 3 dramas this year gave me satisfaction and this one, so far, is one of them. Thank you cast and crew, keep up the good work until the end. 👏

I apologize for not warning you enough 😅. This drama is not for the faint of heart BUT we cannot say that it was a bad production. I believe the way they wrote Lu BuWei and the repetitive murder attempts are what pushed the viewers to the edge.
This was a proper script, we felt all the emotions while watching.
I’m glad I watched Yanxi first because even though he was also bad in it, he was not such a premium trash as he was playing BuWei.
Yes! The Queen was also a good character. I envy the way she could keep her cool. The actress was also great with her facial expressions.

Lu BuWei was a brute.
I wasn’t sure who she’d end up with but let me tell you that I would have destroyed my screen if the end guy would have turned out to be him. The level of frustration and rage I experienced because of him, I never experienced if from a character .
I personally was also disappointed on how she made her son turn into an incompetent and spoiled brat. She ruined him by raising him that way.
My favorite actress was that “Princess of Han”, she was trash but idk, her character was likable at the same time to me.
During the last episodes, I caught myself a few times directing these words at Hao Lan “ Youuuuuu dumb 🐕!” “You and your dumb son!”… the frustration had to come out.
Can we also talk about how her husband didn’t let her see him?? That pos made sure that he stayed in her mind for as long as she lived. He knew that anger from not seeing him would keep him relevant until her last breath.
Anyway, the drama was good with production etc.. but these frustrations will stop me from watching it again. At the end, I remember telling the person who recommended it to me “I need to watch something else to cleanse my brain from all this dumba$$ery.”

“Legend of Zang Hai” and “Dominion and Devotion”. I’ll add “Six Sisters” as a bonus.
The ending of the second one is not as usual but it does make sense.
The only issue I had with Zang Hai was the way they wrote fl. She was good but there was something about her that I just couldn’t stand.
“Six Sisters” is a different genre. All the actors did great and I could feel myself in there with them.
