Never thought Park Bo Gum would make such a convincing villain. Would like to see him in some more villainous roles in newer kdramas

should have been a scene where the bald prosecutor chief guy gets slapped continuously 3-4 times, would have been so cathartic. The backstory of the antagonist might have been inspired by the real life infamous horrific miryang case

From the synopsis provided it sounds similar to the 2024 movie starring Shin Hae Sun called Following

Don't really hate the idea. It's good for a binge and people who prefer weekly 2 episodes can just choose to watch…
Hahaha you don't sound like a professor at all, more like a grumpy kid who got their candy taken away. Seems like you are sub-consciously obsessed with the orange babboon Donald. Also the world doesn't revolve around Trump!
I think you are just an entitled high schooler acting like a grown up. Hilarious!

Hahaha. I addressed you concerns regarding the viewership. As for the YouTube video it's not a gospel it's an opinion by another individual. Also, what does it have to do with Trump? You can't even argue properly. As for. intellectual capacity I have a phD in cinema studies so I have a fair sense of what I am talking about when it comes to movies and shows rdther than arguing based on YouTube videos. Read some books and research at your own leisure. Also try to think on your own for a change rather than being moulded by the opinion of others. Check both for and against arguments. Try to understand and think on your own using your intellectual capacity which I am sure you have as all humans have the ability to think. Don't be a follower. Good day!

Nope already addressed. Can't help it if you just want to argue for argument's sake like a child.
Also it's either baloney or boloney. You can use hogwash or poppycock instead of it since you seem to be quite overusing the term

I don't get why most kdramas do it. It ruins the enjoyment of a happy ending. if they want to give a happy ending then at least give more screen time for the happy ending or just keep them separated till end credits. Hate this trope a lot. Even recently I was enjoying surely tomorrow but this trope in particular ruined the show for me in the last episode

I am sure people in Korea who are invested in certain shows watch it on their terrestrial networks but for rest of the world who have to wait for streaming on OTT platforms after it airs on the network it doesn't make much of a difference. Just take a look at last month or November. Netflix came up with the price of confession which was a really great mystery thriller for bingeing but it didn't affect the ratings of taxi driver season 3 which was airing at the same time in terrestrial networks of South Korea, or even shows like Idol I etc. Some people prefer to watch the whole story at one go while others like the weekly episodic format but people who don't live in South Korea the binge format seems more lucrative as they anyway don't have any access to terrestrial networks of South Korea

Plus the whole industry is changing globally in terms of spectatorship be it theatres, television or streaming. Things keep changing with the times and in every point of history there is always resistance to newer methods until it becomes the norm and then something new comes along again and the cycle keeps on repeating. When feature films became a big deal around 1920s and 1930s people lamented the fact about stage theatres bearing the brunt of films as films were considered "cheap entertainment" back then but with them the same form became high art. Depends on perspective and nothing remains static. Everything is always in flux

It's not so simple. There are both pros and cons. They get higher production budget, a guaranteed income regardless of the show being good or bad, they can experiment with stuff which is usually seen as risky on traditional korean television, also more global exposure

I hate Netflix and their maniac idea of launching all the episodes at once.
Don't really hate the idea. It's good for a binge and people who prefer weekly 2 episodes can just choose to watch it at their own pace. Everybody happy

On One Dollar Lawyer Jan 15, 2026
Could have been 16 episodes. Some dramas are way too short even though they deserve a longer episode count. It had 3 episodes of flashback dealing with a tragic backstory. Would have loved if it maintained the same pace but somehow after that it ended in a flash within a couple of episodes

The final break up makes no sense and the reconciliation at the end further makes lesser sense. Noble idiocy and public view will still be there so why get back together? If they can bear then why break up in the first place? The last episode was very bad. Lot of screen time wasted in yearning shots. I mean using 40-50 mins of yearning is a lot. Only 3 mins of reconciliation. Could have cut down on the yearning bit by 20 mins and given a better ending than a rushed happy ending

have seen the lead characters cameo in a couple of shows like taxi driver and dynamite kiss. Maybe there might be a season 2 in the future

Have been reluctant to watch one dollar lawyer only because I read that it was cut short due to some production conflict and the ending is very rushed

Loved it. Not a single weak episode. This show has actually made me want to watch another drama from a couple of years back called One Dollar Lawyer, which I have been avoiding all these years. It seems to have a similar premise

Weak ending for this season. Overall weak compared to previous seasons. So now taxi driver is going to be like any american show, season after season until it becomes too stale. Sad
