oh! I guess that might be one of the reasons. Also it seems like they might not have had any plans for expanding the series beyond season 1. They even have a message for the viewers at the end of season 1 which is in line with most kdramas that last a single season. But due to the popularity they might have changed course from season 2 onwards. I just hope they know when to stop and give a proper conclusion at some point in time without extending it for 7-8 seasons like hollywood does and keep milking it till it goes stale
Although I enjoy this show a lot but one thing that is quite noticeable is that season 1 seems like a completely different show than the rest of the seasons as the show got bigger, more over the top and more superhero kind of territory. Season 1 had a more grounded, gritty and emotional feel to it. The cases were inspired from real life crimes fictionalised for the show in season 1. Even the songs from season 1 can't be matched specially the track a walk which was the track for pyo ye jin's character in season 1. In hindsight season 1 also seemed much darker and serious in tone compared to season 2 and season 3
Yes and that's why I prefer watching movies, shows and dramas since it's an escape from the harsh realities of everyday life. At least can get some catharsis through the utopic lens of imagination. Life is already too hard as it is, at least an ideal world should exist in the world of the screen or imagination
Loved every second of it. Tight, gripping and great mystery. Also, loved the nod towards a past connection in the epilogue which felt heartwarming. The only thing I didn't like was the main antagonist didn't face any consequences as such or the consequence being kept a bit open ended
Quite dark but enjoyable. The initial 4 episodes were the best. Even though there is mixed consensus regarding the ending I guess that's what was to be expected even from the first episode where they previewed it a bit. It's finally her deal with the devil and choices that became her undoing. As for the MLs they knew what they were getting themselves into to the point of self destructive obsession like a drug. Even the supposed "good guy" turned because he didn't have her and in the expose, conveniently forgot to mention about the years of abuse his own mother was a part of and the role he played by going along with her manipulations as long as he had her. Not a single sane character in the whole drama. Everyone has issues and is insane at some level. But nonetheless enjoyed the ride
Thrilling from beginning to end. Not a dull moment. Binge-worthy!!
You get elements of Innocent Defendant + Prison Break + Squid Games + Death Race + The Fast and the furious + The Fugitive all enmeshed into a revenge thriller. Only issue I had with was the ending. Found it very rushed. Too many things to tie up in the last episode which is barely 45 minutes.
she did have a happy ending in this drama though? even if her grandma died, she lived a new life where she was…
That's exactly what I meant by a new beginning. I was talking more in terms of the drama as a whole and other dramas she has been in. It's bittersweet just like life in general. You never get perfect happy endings!
Enjoyed it for most parts. Loved the found family aspect of it and also one of the few dramas where the romance between leads doesn't face any obstacle throughout, smooth sailing. Most of the issues are professional while the personal lives of the leads have warmth. Although would have liked to see the pyo kid get a good beating at the end
I would appreciate a breakdown of the romance and to know if it was a happy ending or not, please!!
long lasting supportive romance subplot without any love triangle or breakup or any misunderstanding trope. Together till the end. Proper happy ending and not rushed. The last 40-45 minutes focus on the happy ending
there are some well written or interesting villains in some Kdramas. The most charismatic that comes to mind is…
Another villain that had clear motivation and own justification in their own right even though the act might be heinous is the antagonist from the kdrama Stranger. Also, don't sit on kingdom. it's worth the watch. Plus has quite high production value and good actors all round

one villain that could have stood out if they continued the series was ashin (jun ji hyun) from Kingdom. Even the special episode that goes into the backstory of her revenge had the character well fleshed out and clear motivation for her actions which led to the events of Kingdom. Wish they had made a season 3
Stories about characters striving to achieve their dreams are always special. When done right, such shows can…

Multi dimensional characters. Even the antagonist from the epilogue of kingdom 2 feels like a protagonist in their own right. Sad that they didn't develop the series further. Enjoyed both the seasons as well as this special episode of Kingdom. Had a nice lore and world building with well written characters. Would have loved for it to have a proper ending. Wonder why netflix cancelled it
I think it would be interesting to have an early-mid way case be a 3-4 epsioder (instead of the classic 2), and…
Not sure who the big bad will be. Might be the one from the first episode. Also wondering about the military plot that was teased as an epilogue to season 2
Always satisfying to watch bad guys getting conned and beaten at their own game. One thing I like about this drama is the good guys keep winning consistently unlike most where it's a long drawn out losses only to win in the last episode
Enjoying it so far. One thing I noticed on MDL is that episodes which haven't even been released are rated as 7 by some users. Lol. Time travelling MDL users 🤣 Don't get why people go to such lengths to review bomb or downrate shows 🤣
