It really just depends on Youku’s schedule. There are actually a lot of dramas that already have their licenses but still haven’t aired yet. Platforms usually wait for the right timing so they don’t clash with other big releases or mess up their promo plans😪

They have random drama list on the coming soon section, even Transfer Gold Hairpin included and it's still filming. Youku platform itself is unreliable😑

It has nothing to do with the license, the drama can air any day once they get it. The real issue is Youku’s scheduling😭They have a full lineup of big dramas planned, and releasing and promoting VOS too early could clash with their marketing strategy.
Besides, it’s common now for many dramas to announce their license just days before airing, like Jadewind and yang Zi’s Tree of Life. So a delayed announcement doesn’t mean there’s a problem with licensing, it’s just how platforms are managing their releases strategically.
