Yeah. I understand the preference with genres, and to be honest, I hadn't watched that popular drama they keep mentioning; it wasn't my preferred genre (and with the experience with its horrible fans, I hated it even more LOL). I was just shocked that there are really 'fans' who actively take their time to hunt down TWOT videos just to comment viciously against the lead actress by mentioning another actress or spreading misinformation. It is just so disrespectful both to the cast of TWOT and to the audience who just wants to watch more videos about them. LJ's fanbase is mostly quietly lowkey and cannot really fight back against vicious haters, and if anyone dares to clap-back at the comments, these haters will suddenly act as if we are bullying their fave actress. As much as I love the CZY and LJ pairing, I hope her next CPs don't have so many delusional (in a negative way) shippers/fans.

I am recommending everyone to watch this drama completely first before passing any judgment about its story and ending. After watching all the unrealistic fluff of romance dramas, this one is definitely uniquely closer to reality, tackling topics that are usually too controversial and avoided. Do not judge it based on the tiny clips you see in social media, it is not the whole story. As a long time fan of LJ, I also cannot understand the hate towards LJ in this drama, just so annoying, smh especially for the fans of that past ship who keeps mentioning/commenting about that other female actress in almost every TWOT fan video/clip. If you don't like the choice of heroine (as recommended by Chen himself) or our CP shipping, move on and rewatch your sunken ship. I never cared for that other 'popular' actress but when you see her name in another drama she isn't even part of and comparing her with the lead actress, I just have the impression that her fans/shippers are the most toxic I have ever seen and it somehow dissuades me from watching that actress' dramas. It is just bad impression. Yeah, your actress is popular but do have the morality not to drag other actresses just because yours wasn't chosen. I think this drama has really showcased the versatility in CZY and LJ's acting, particularly in heavy drama. The story might have faults in the writing and in its promotion, but you cannot discount the fact that both CZY and LJ acted very well and both of them deserves acting awards. CZY's acting is complimented by LJ's acting, and this choice of pairing is perfect. Would love to see them reunite again in a light-hearted romcom or even another romcom historical.
